Definitely not reddish. Very close to black.

I’ve used it once and it seems to be dried out. I shook it and nothing is working. Has this happened to anyone else? Recommendations??

Yes, they dry out easily especially if purchased on here (old inventory). You can wet the tip with water and scribble on the back of your hand to get it going. Or just switch to Glossier Brown Pen or the one from Benefit. I used Ardell for years but only use it if desperate now.

No it is like a mini sharpie maker. Takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it outcome is beautiful and more natural looking. I've have several compliments in my brows.
