The city over bleached/chlorinated our water due to pipe repair one morning .... the rag on the left is from the bathroom faucet, bleach the BLACK WASHCLOTH omg! So i tested the shower which has the sparkpod, the washcloth on the right looks the how it originally went into the show minus being wet. I tested the other washcloth too under the sparkpod shower and less dye ran...this actually help me confirm that the water from the city line was over chlorinated . Sparkpod filtered the over chlorination . I dont write reviews much on Amazon but in a world where clean water is what we are all hoping for, I needed to say something about this product and how it worked. Ive had it for several months but i finally have proof to show just how much it works. Be sure to change the filter though, it can become sluggish if you dont.

I was skeptical of these but wanted to try it because we have well water and everything in the shower gets a crispy coating or copper marks in the tub over time. Since I put this in the bottles in the shower no longer have grime, my interior shower curtain doesnt get nearly as much build up and the copper marks are very faint. Way less cleaning involved than before. When I changed the filter the first time, wow was it gross. I have tested the water in my house for TDSS and its in a normal range like the filtered water is but apparently there is still a lot of crud that you can't se getting filtered out.My skin and hair are still dry like they were before I didn;t notice a real difference with that aspect.Install was mostly easy but DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, 4 wraps of teflon tape and tighten it just like one turn past hand tight. Otherwise it will leak, trust me it took a few attempts and a few washers to get it right. Too tight and it pushes the washer into the pipe. I left off a star because wow is it reallllly hard to open after its been in use. I had to take the whole head off to be able to remove the pod and replace the filter. The O-ring on that filter chamber also has that icky black stuff on it like water bottle seals get. I looked and could not find a replacement and worry that the seal will degrade and i will not be able to replace it. I even checked their website and they didn't have seal replacements.While on the company's website I saw that this model is on clearance for cheaper than the cost of the filter even. Which concerns me that if I do need to replace the seal I will have to either buy a new unit or find a seal elsewhere.

This shower filter is a game changer. I didn’t expect to notice much of a difference, but my skin didn’t itch after I showered. The cut on my hand didn’t burn under the shower water. My hair was noticeably softer and less tangled when I was washing it and dried curlier and less heavy-feeling. There isn’t a white film on my shower hardware. My shower pressure is exactly the same as it was before I installed this. It was very easy to install and required no tools—it came with plumber’s tape, a wrench, and spare gaskets in case you need them. I really like that the nut screws independently of the body of the filter, which means you can position it exactly where you want it before tightening. The included wrench did scratch the coating slightly (see picture), but I don’t really mind that. I also haven’t figured out how to change the filter, but there are instructions; I just wasn’t able to unscrew it. I’ll have to play with it a bit to try to figure it out, but it’s likely just tight or user error. Overall, I highly recommend this shower filter. It makes a huge difference!

Worked great for a couple months. Went to replace filter and completely fell apart. Leaked from filter compartment, from steam leading to screw nut, and other places. Ended up being a waste of $100 between this and replacement filters.

Update 10/21: While this product I got wasn't great when it worked it did work great. The value was definitely not there with the one I received hard to give it a better rating. I have the smaller model on another shower, which is working well so far. The update though is for the customer service. The seller saw my review and went out of their way to reach out and refund which i definitely appreciate. Updated to three stars but the product ultra for the extra money didn't perform half as well or half as long.__________Got this thing and while it works it's really great but maybe used it less than 20 times in total. Water pressure so low it's barely usable and we have high pressure.Probably ended up costing 1.50 per shower for how long it lasted. Not worth it

Love how easy this product was to install and could immediately tell the difference in the type of water that was omitting from my shower. Would totally recommend.

I have harder water with some iron. Without using a filter the showerhead eventually becomes orangey. I was using a filter similar to the one this company compares to. That made a big difference. This one looks different but works just as well and maybe a little better. It's rough what these go for it's definitely made a water quality difference in the shower. I wasn't super crazy about the design but the shower head more or less blocks the view of it so not a big deal. If you don't mind spending the money, it does a good job.
