Plantronics RIG Stereo Headset + Mixer for PC/MAC, XBOX 360, PS3, Mobile, PS4, White (Renewed)

The headset itself is nothing special. The RIG mix amp is very helpful to use discord on a console. The mix amp works great, but does take a little fiddling with to get the volume balance right.

Product was well packaged and components bagged when arrived. Unit appeared fully cleaned and referbished. Sound quality is OK, some deep base is clipped. Volume controls are rough, for my phone I have to have both the device volume at about 80% (any more and it crackles), and the Rig phone volume maxed. Then the headset volume must be set very high. When switching back to desktop I need to lower the headset volume again. A minor but annoying item. I'm not sure what longevity will be as I already hear crackling audio moving the headset cord into the rig puck....

My son has gone thru a number of headset/microphone combinations in the last couple of years - using them for gaming and also as a contributor to on-line gaming videos. Most of the "Gaming" Headsets have been disappointing - the headphone audio quality if often marginal and the microphone pickup ranges from poor to awful...the LED "decorations" are just a waste of computer power. Our most successful Headset before this Plantronics was a Beyer that was designed for Sports Broadcasting. I worked well but it was very pricey and the headset passive noise cancellation was spotty. I have had a lot of experience with Plantronics Headsets for Call-Centers and Office installations. Generally their equipment is well designed for the purpose and they offer a full line of replacement parts. I couldn't find any user reviews for this Headset on line so I decided to "gamble" on a refurbished set. I have been pleasantly surprised with the results. My son is pleased with the sound quality of the headphones and the audio quality of the boom microphone. He is also pleased with the comfort of the headset over extended on-line periods. Not long after we received the headset a clumsy "oops" broke the mini plug off of the cord. The cord is on the boom mike which plugs into the headset. I was able to find the replacement mike on-line for under $10 so the repair was quick and easy. This type of practical design reflects Plantronics experience in supporting equipment that has to work day after day. I am very well pleased with this headset.

I was super happy to get this headset as it's white. I bought it refurbished and it worked well past the 90-day warranty period. I even purchased the extra protection with SqaureTrade (however there is currently a law suit against them and because of that lawsuit I can't actually use the policy I purchased with them in order to have my headset fixed) just in case things failed. Well I bought this headset this past August 2018. It's May 2019 and my mic has shorted out, so this headset is no longer reliable to use for streaming or voice chatting.So beware.

I had to replace my original one of these after two years of use, and I was glad to see them at a reasonable price. these headphone work perfectly with my ps4, phone, and tablet with no issue and they fit people with larger ears very well while also not being too heavy or sacrificing audio quality.

I had owned a pair a few years back but my sister's dog had chewn up my cords, but i purchased this one their was a few differences but it still worked the same only having trouble finding a adapter for my xbox one! The cords dont last very long.... Other then the cords it's perfect.

It worked for 1 day.

great sound, very comfortable, everyone can understand me clearly, what else could you ask for.
