This is a fun LEGO Star Wars set with a good mix of clone troopers and battle droids. The build is straightforward, the minifigures are well detailed, and it’s great for play or display. Ideal for Star Wars fans and a nice addition to any LEGO collection.

This is probably one of the best Lego battle packs of all time, certainly so if you are a fan of the clone wars / Star Wars prequel trilogy. Whilst most battle packs give you extra troops and a small vehicle of some sort to reinforce your collection of larger sets, this set gives you both sides right out of the box. This makes it an excellent choice for both child fans and adult collectors / army builders alike. As a child you basically get a mini clone war in a box. Four clones, with a speeder and small defensive position. To go against them, five droids, with their own speeder and a fairly substantial brick built octopurra tri droid to give the clones some stiffer opposition. The usual play features such as stud shooters and flick fire missiles are included and well integrated. The set gives the usual quality Lego build experience, with clear instructions. For the adult collector / Lego army builder you get the rare opportunity to build two armies at once! This set also sees the long awaited return of plain (white) phase 2 clones, which have not been produced by Lego since 2013 (and have previously been somewhat pricey to obtain). They have obviously been updated to match the current style of clones, but are nevertheless a welcome sight. The set designer has also included a single clone shock trooper, also making a previously expensive figure easier to obtain in decent quantities. Added to that, the droid side sees the return of the super battle droid, also not produced by Lego since 2015. This droid has had something of a redesign, hopefully eliminating the previous structural flaws that led to many of the old ones leg joints breaking over time. The new ones are sharper looking, but not so different that they would look out of place when displayed alongside their older counterparts. This is the perfect set to buy in multiple quantities, especially when it inevitably gets discounted further into its shelf life. Similarly to the 501st troopers set from a while back, I expect this type of “super battle pack” to come around every couple of years. The two sided aspect makes it perfect for army builders who like to purchase sets in multiple quantities. Whilst this set is priced at £25 and a bit higher that other recent Lego battle packs, you get so much more content. It’s basically two battle packs in one and for that reason it is one of the few Lego sets where I can honestly say that the RRP is good value for what you are getting.

Great battle set, loads of mini figures

Cool but a bit pricey for what you get.

Great LEGO Star Wars pack with plenty of minifigures and droids. Fun to build and perfect for expanding any Clone Wars collection.

Bought for my son. He is extremely happy with number and appearance of figures and large number of builds contained in the set which makes it good for the price. He also loves the fact that it includes a shop trooper plus the new B2 design. Flick-fire missiles could be improved to stud shooters on tri droid but this does not overly detract from the quality of the set.
