I've had many other type toe separators - but this one is by far the best at keeping my toe straight. While I can wear it comfortably with socks and shoes - it does not look great with sandals - as the whiteness makes it look like a bandage! haha! Maybe they could come out with flesh tone ones?

I use toe spacers because, like millions of others, I've inherited a lovely protruding bunion from my mother. By the time I hit my early 60's, my big toe began to constantly rub against its neighbor. Soon it began to hike over that friendly toe. This became painful if I had been doing a lot of physical work in the backyard, or was tricked by my wife into taking some long, long walk through a nearby park. Unfortunately for my Mom, she opted to have surgery to "fix" the bunion. After all the chopping and slicing, she hobbled home from the hospital and was never able to walk properly without pain for the rest of her life. So, until they actually perfect the procedure someday, stay away from anyone staring longingly at your feet who is wearing a face mask, dressed in scrubs and is holding a scalpel. Wearing a toe spacer may be a daily drudge, but it's much better than the alternative.So, for years I've been using the simple, wedge-shaped regular soft spacers which simply slip between your big toe and the next one over, aka "The Second Toe." (Must have stayed up all night naming that name!) Those simple spacers without the loop work well for a few years. So, I ordered this different design for the heck of it and was moments away from returning the package when I figured, "why not try them anyhow?"After the first whole day I was pleased with the result. I believe this type of spacer was ultimately more comfortable, (should I say less painful?) than the usual type I'd been using for years between the big and second toes. The added benefit is that the loop around the Second Toe helps keep the actual spacer where it belongs. The previous spacer would sometimes, (although not that often) slip down and there would be no spacer between my toes at all.So, if you've tried and/or used the single-toe spacers before, but now your big toe has become more aggressive and has designs for world domination by taking over your Second Toe as the first step, give these toe spacers a shot first.
