Exceptionally sharp, strong while thin.
I like these hooks. Inshore fishing in Cabo, hooks set well and hold up.

Sharp as ... ouch! That is sharp!
Very sharp hooks and I love the EWG shape as it helps with retention of the fish you hooked. I'd say for their size they are strong enough. I use them on topwaters and jerkbaits in inshore saltwater for trout, reds, and snook. Rarely a large fish may bend one but I haven't had one break. I've caught more fish with it because it's sharp and have not lost any due to a bend. I'll continue to buy them.

Excellent sharp hook. Used them on a mirrodine mr27 to replace factory hooks and give it a different action in the water.

BKK is the real deal. These hooks are no exception. They are super sharp and "sticky" as some say. Great sizes available and you're going to be hard-pressed to find a better replacement treble hook. The EWG really helps secure those fish upon striking and hold them tight to the bat, love them and will be buying more!

I’ve been using the BKK Spear EWG-71 stainless steel treble hooks for freshwater fishing, and they perform very well. The super slide coating helps reduce friction, allowing for smoother hook sets and better penetration. The inward-facing needle points are razor-sharp and hold onto fish securely, reducing the chance of missed hook-ups or escapes. The hooks feel sturdy and corrosion-resistant, which is important for long-lasting use in freshwater environments. Initially, the hooks felt a bit stiff when opening and closing, but they’ve loosened up with use and handling.
