TEKNO RC LLC M5 Pinion Gear 16t MOD1 5mm bore M5 set screw TKR4176 Gears & Differentials

These are the best 1/8 scale mod 1 buggy pinion gears available. Huge M5 set screw that locks these in place. Also very narrow compared to some others and that's perfect for getting lined up and still being able to access set screw. Run these in all my Arrmas & Teknos. Use metal spur w/ dry wax lube and they last forever.

Had some temps issues with my mt410. Going from 17t to 16t helped with like 10-15 degrees. HW 2000kw motor. Tenía algunos problemas de temperatura con el motor de mi mt410. Bajarlo de 17 a 16t sirvió para reducir como 10-15 grados Fahrenheit. Uso motor HW 2000kw.

I’ve tried out other pinion gear manufacturers but still keep coming back to Tekno because of their quality finish. Others usually look nice when they’re brand new, but once they start to get some use as early as 1-2 packs in they start to corrode/rust. They’re still functional, but for a little bit more why not invest in Tekno’s pinion gears. I’m running this 16t Mod 1 pinion gear on a 2250kv 4274 Hobbywing truggy motor in my Tekno MT410 with 6.1” outside diameter tires. Set the proper gear mesh and it’ll last damn near forever.

Fantastic little pinion. I read good things, but was surprised when I found out it has a 2.5mm set screw. For this alone, I will probably only run these from now on. Much easier to get it good and tight, without stripping out a smaller hex bit.

I don't think these grubs screws will ever strip. The pinion is very hard, it even survived slipping on the motor shaft and machining a hole in my motor mount.

No stripping. Big set screw alot better than arrma gears. High reccomend

So far, so good. Needs a dab of blue loctite on set screw.
