Daytime SW signals indicate strong reception of 10/15 Mhz with just the supplied whip antenna, other signals seem to be strong but fade in and out which could be due to normal atmospheric conditions or just unit DSP limitations alone. Tried AM again, poor selectivity as I could not capture any signal between 640 and 690 khz no matter how carefully I tuned, FM is fine like most DSP units.It's too bad not enough attention was paid to AM selectivity in this unit as it has a promising base set of SW meter bands that are all good daytime frequencies, not so much on the nighttime frequency coverage unless one is aware of a unique lower frequency range that this unit can cover at night.After all, it has a good audio foundation, but it came with no manual and there's no indication when the battery is fully charged as I left it charging overnight and the battery had gone from 3.9 volts to just over 4 volts the following day and the red charging LED never changed colors or went out to indicate full charge status.In an emergency if all one needs is a clear channel AM station, maybe this unit will be adequate, but if you live in the boonies and need to be able to pick up weak regional AM signals, you may need to keep looking for a more selective AM receiver for weak AM signal capturing properties, but for most other bands it's adequate and loud enough for most divergent ambient noise environments.
