Sailrite® Edge Hotknife Fabric & Rope Cutter Package (110V)

The unit arrived promptly and in good condition. There is some assembly required as you have to mount the cutting blade to the handle using the supplied Allen wrench. The foot attaches using another Allen had screw. It is easy to adjust for the proper gap. The case is clearly for a different kit. I holds everything, but there is no molded in place to store the foot. The knife worked beautifully to cut Sunbrella fabric and new indoor/outdoor carpeting for our boat.

Love this cutting tool. I was surprised how many different fabrics I could actually use it on. (Not all, so I would definitely do a test first). Makes nice edges that don't ravel while I'm sewing. I love it like I love your website. Thank you sailrite

I love this tool. I am making patio cushion covers for a friend. I saw sailrite instructional videos and bought the hot knife. It worked perfectly. I think if I used scissors my wrists would be sore and scissors ruined.. It takes a little practice but best tool I have bought in a while.

Great machine, and customer support is excellent. I had a few problems getting started and they were right there to help me.

This heats quickly and after a little practice is easy to use.

Not what I expected. It was not worth my investing in it. It gets too hot and can easily burn yourself

If you are working with webbing, this is the hotknife for you. This knife heats up quickly and cuts cleanly. I also use it for foam and it handles like a dream.

I thought I would use the guide to keep from melting or ruining the table. It was a lot more difficult to cut with the guide on it. Gets Gummed up and I finally took it off. I put a large piece of thick cardboard under my material and cut quickly with less mess! Works much better without the guard.
