iSHOXS 2C ProFork Xtension L | Joint Arm Extension Mount for GoPro Hero 11, 10, 9, DJI Osmo, Apexcam | Durable & Stable Aluminum | 1/4 Inch Adapter

I’ve been looking for a mounting system to attach my GoPro to my Gator ATV (exploring badlands), my electric bike (hunting), and my kayak (fishing). ISHOXS makes the best mounts I have found. I am using an iSHOXS Shark as a base mount, and this ProFork Xtension allows me to extend out an additional 3.5 inches when necessary. In the picture it is in combination with the oddly named iSHOXS small grab, which provides additional mobility. The ProFork is typical of iSHOXS – absolutely top of the line, well designed, well made.It also comes with a safety lanyard to connect your camera in the event of any failures. (This thing is machined metal and I shudder to think what would cause a failure).MESSAGE TO ISHOXS: You have a terrific line of products, but your US marketing is awful. The descriptions on Amazon, on your US web page, and on your US Facebook, page are obviously written by non-English speakers. The immediate thought is iShoxs is one of those knockoff outfits making shoddy goods – because those are the businesses who are too cheap to pay professional copy writers and marketers. You need a US web page, written by a US English speaker that shows the many ways your amazing products can be used. You need to emphasize that these products are professional photographer grade and German engineered (highly respected in the US). This is a rare case where advice is worth more than you are paying for it (I have done marketing consulting in the past).Note that I am reviewing several iSHOXS products and will be repeating several parts of this review in those reviews.

I thought it came with everything pictured, but it is only the long riser. The quality and strength are great. It give that extra height or drop depends on how you use it. It fits well on the GoPro 10 the GoPro is steady with the added height even on the bumps and jumps. Quality product!

The build quality is great, however I tried it in 2 scenarios and could not get it to be tight and stable.1st my PGYTech suction mounts, they used a simple twist and lock and with their mount, in the forked grip it is tight and strong. With this extension, it is too loose to use if there will be resistance like wind etc. I use it on my car so it will not work. In a stationary environment, it would be fine.2nd a standard GoPro mount, twist screw tightener. Same problem, better but still not 100% secure. I would expect it to move but only if you apply some force.So in both cases, I do not feel it is stable enough to use for say an hour on the car with the wind hitting it. It slowly shifts its position. On a bike or other vehicle where the ride is rougher, it will never stay in placeToo bad is the actual construction and material are great, well made. I tried adding 2 layers of paper in the joint and it is much better, but I don't want to have to add layers for something like this to work.

This well engineered and well made extension will replace the goofy setup I had before that was made up of several small plastic extensions and swivel parts from my bag of GoPro accessories. Whether you want your camera facing away from you or facing you, this extension is built solid. It’s rigid, in fact it is definitely the strongest piece of gear in my GoPro gear bag. I keep several of the cheaply built plastic extensions on hand, because I expect them to break. This ProFork Xtension should last a lifetime.I use the extension to hold my GoPro out and away from the chest rig so I can easily see the rear facing screen. It would also work equally awesome for those that like having the camera facing back at them. My chest rig has two camera attachment points, so I guess I could have one camera facing forward and one facing backward.I hope this review was helpful.Thank you.

As with all iSHOXS products I've tried, this extension arm is rugged and smartly designed. The extension arm itself is 5 star, but I am deducting 1 star because the photos provided in the order page are misleading. All you get is the extension arm and a thumb screw, not all the other stuff shown in the pictures.
