Need extra magnification and this worked well.

Glass Lens, Good Quality.
Super Pleased with this lens. 10 diopter magnification, Glass lens in plastic plate, uses screw and nut to retain instead of the press-in plastic pin in the lens this replaces. My old lens was plastic and got scratched, so this is a worthy replacement!

Upgraded to #7 from #5 lenses
Excellent magnification for my miniature making. I have owned the cheaper headsets with the quick change acrylic lenses and they don't even come close to Donegans.

QUALITY - I have used these products for years. They don’t come any better
I have used these products for years in my work. Would advise it’s best to pay a little more to get the “ground optical glass” lenses. Acrylic ones are subject to scratching.

Way Better Than Reading Glasses
I bought the #2 lens to improve my vision when reading and working on the computer. These lenses are fantastic. Crystal clear and the focal length is perfect. My wife was so impressed that she wanted a pair for her accounting job and quilting. These are way better than your average pair of reading glasses.

Great for all kinds of close-up work!
These lenses fit the Donegan headpiece and, together, comprise a great way to continue to do close-up work even when your native vision starts to fail. Makes seeing what I’m soldering easy again! The lenses and headset can be used without taking your glasses off. In fact, they complement your glasses. The headpiece is designed so that the lenses are easily flipped up and down when needed. Interchangeable lenses provide a range of magnifications and focal distances. Highly recommended!

Optivisor lenses - easy to use, great clarity and a must have for aging eyes.
I already own the 1.75x, and wanted more magnification for certain tasks and thus purchased the 2.5x magnifier.- now I just grab the one I need for the job and it is ready to go.Optivisor optics are clear and true - I am very pleased with the clarity of their optics - they are true and coma-free all the way to the edge of the field of view. Also, for my aging eyes they are a great tool for certain types of bench tasks where I need a little aid - whether it is working on electronics, soldering a small joint, inspecting a broken part I am trying to repair... of course there are many uses for a magnifier. And a magnifier that is hands free, one that can be flipped up when not in use, and is comfortable to wear... well, that is why I can recommend the Optivisor (and alternate attachment lenses) to anyone! Now I am trying to decide if I want another lens to swap out at even higher power for those times I REALLY want to "blow something up".Thanks for reading!

Hey, I can see!
This #10 lens was a good step up from the #4 I had in the headset. They certainly magnify more for doing real precision work. The only troubles are (1) that the focal length is small, so whatever you are working on is right up in your face and (2) because there is no adjustability of the distance of the lens from your eyes or the distance between each side (eye) of the lens, you will sometimes find it hard to not feel cross-eyed and get a good focus, so they take some getting used to. Have to have them though for working on the small stuff. Lighting is key. There's a reason that light in the dentist's chair is so bright.
