you know what i mean. yeah these are good spikes, hopefully no kids impale themselves but that’s why I got the do not climb signs too

they bend flat when run-over.

These are much tougher than I expected. I had raccoons getting into my duck pen and killing them. We never did find out where, but with these they sure aren't doing it over the gate. It won't hurt them but it will be hard for them to grip it if they were going over the gate. I ended up putting them almost touching each other on my gate, but I suspect you could put them an inch or two apart to discourage birds and some other critters. Not sure how it would work with squirrels as I've not seen evidence of them in the garden and they could get through the fence mesh anyway.

Cheap quality. These spikes were easy to bend by hand. If you are wanting to keep intruders from jumping your fence I would recommend not going with these. As a girl I was able to bend these spikes with my hands. My guess is that someone wanting to jump a fence and  break in to your home would have no problem bending them over and jumping your fence. I was also sent the incorrect style and they did not come with screws like the listing said. I returned them and went with an American made company.

These are made extremely well and do the job amazingly. No bird has tried to perch on our chicken coop since having these installed. They are very pointy and made of thick, strong steel. Easy to install, too. Just screw it into the top of the fence. I would recommend these if you need aerial protection, and even ground protection from pesky animals trying to jump over the gate.

SHARP

I installed these on top of the exposed portions of the tops of our back yard deck supports. Birds were perching on them, and doing what birds do.Placing these metal spikes on the tops of those support posts has (so far) seemed to prevent birds from perching, as demonstrated by the lack of bird poop on the posts and the patio pavers surrounding the posts. So far, so good!

Got these initially to possibly try to keep some "troublesome birds" away from an overhead ledge. After receiving them, going to use them to enhance security on an entry gate to the yard. They are sturdy enough and are sharp enough to provide some better security and come with the mounting screws. They could be used to keep away birds I think, but the ledge that I am having trouble with is simply too high for me to mount these properly.
