Effective and easy to use
Absolutely perfect. So easy to set up and use and very effective.

Needs to pull the trigger multiple times to start.
I bought this 6 months ago. While the extender works well, it is longer than other and it is powerful enough, pulling the trigger does not start and every time is ringing someting inside. Not starting is anoying and you have to pull multiple times to start. Also at this price it supposed to have an oiling system which it does not. It doesn't work with regular Makita batteries also. The chain is getting loose fast and after a mont of ocasionally use it keep the chain loose.. I believe it is overpriced even at $70.

good for light tree trimming
Its okay. The chain is a really small chain, so there is no way to sharpen--which means once dull, the chain needs replaced. The battery charger is really cheep. If you use it, keep an eye on it to keep from over-heating. The manual print is really tiny and not very detailed. There is no place for chain oil, so just apply a few drops every few minutes or every cut. Not practical for big jobs. Fine for a little trimming. I was hoping to use it for bigger jobs since I have lots of downed trees that need cleaned up for firewood. The extender worked good for clearing around the powerlines to my house. Be careful, it is top-heavy when fully extended. Get some good safety glasses (provided ones are not good) so debris from overhead won't blind you when the wind shifts. The extender rods are flimsy, especially fully extended. Be sure no one is standing nearby when cutting: Sometimes its hard to tell when the branch is coming down along with the saw. Pretty handy for small solid branches.

Don't send a USED when we purchased NEW
The first one arrived and it was a USED product when we bought it NEW!!! There were cut leaves and debris of tree branch all over the tools inside the box. Immediately we returned it and didn't get the replacement until 2 days later which delayed our project.

Excellent, I like the extension made easy and nit to heavy. My last review I requested if you had a hedge cutter that attaches where the chain cutters are, and if there are other type of accessories. no reply
