CollectaEiniosaurus Dinosaur Toy

CollectA’s new ceratopsians line promises new and exciting changes, starting with 2017 their standard ceratopsians will all be in scale with each other and feature new sculpts loaded with detail and imaginative paint schemes. First in line for 2017 is Einosaurus procurvicornis uncovered in Montana and named in 1995. This figure is quite small at 5”x 2.3” it is roughly 1/30th scale but is replete with all manner of detail. Expertly sculpted with minuscule scales, occipitals, wrinkles, quills, and folds, there is even an open mouth with a tiny pink painted tongue. The figure is posed mid stride and not only has the correct number of digits but, CollectA saw fit to sculpt them in an anatomically correct position. Marvelous! The quills at the aft end are still speculative but a rather interesting and imaginative choice for CollectA. The paint scheme is bright and immediately catches the eye, some may argue garish, even gaudy but still a refreshing change of pace from all the grey/olive hues of figures of the past, and perhaps more accurate if we consider their connection to modern birds. A lovely and striking tiny model sure to please imaginative children and discerning collectors. I am most anxious to await future releases from CollectA’s ceratopsian collection.

Good size, great paint application and good accuracy as far as i can tell. Great product!

Detail is ok. Painting is ok. Size is tiny.For $10 it's a rip-off.
