Love This Laptop - But Not Perfect for Everyone
I don't have too much to say about it. It runs about as well as my PC at home, if not better. I've used it to play AAA titles and MMOs in the late evening while on trips out of town, to do work for college, coding & my job. It's a great laptop. A few things to consider. While the numpad that's build into the touchpad is neat at first... it's just a nuisance when your catch your hand on it while gaming & then you're hitting random buttons on accident. Also, the resolution isn't 16:9, it is 16:10. You're going to have issues getting the full screen to be filled for some games & you're going to lose 1-2 inches of screen to black-bars in games such as Elden Ring. However, I feel like the 16:10 resolution provides for a more compact laptop shape. I have a 16:9 laptop & it feels so lopsided to use or carry around. This one feels great. Plus you have more vertical space for say, writing a program in VSCode or the like. So it's a bit of a give & take there. PSA - I'm told ASUS customer service is horrible these days. If you have any issues with your laptop, please be warned you might be best off seeking other routes for repairs. Even if you are in warranty. There's plenty of videos on Youtube about it. Gamers Nexus is the one that alerted me to the potential issue.

Good looking with solid design
All games that I played ran smoothly without any sort of trouble. Screen is also amazing with better colours, even though I did not use it. With all of things that I liked, there are some issues aa well. Coil whine is there and it can be clearly heard when in silent mode. Sleep is not working as it should be, sometimes laptop is on when put to sleep only the keyboard is turned off. Also, RAM is occupied 11GB out of 32gb when after laptop is started and no programs are running (I have disabled most of startup applications). However, even with all those, this deserves 5 star since it's performance overcomes them.

Eventually bricked but the extended warranty was great!
I am sorry for the long read. I purchased this laptop in Sept 2023 & I loved it, especially because I cannot always sit up at my desk having several chronic pain conditions. At first, it was little things like my battery not coming close to the amount of battery life per charge (so in a rapid time just keeping it plugged in with battery saver mode on because the battery would run out within 30 minutes) even if just sitting at desktop with no additional programs running or my sound settings just randomly changing or going back to default. I chalked it all off as I just got a quirky one. Then slowly more & more odd things were going on & I had already had gone through 3 very high dollar gaming headsets & at least 4 or 5 other propular brands but more economical. In August 2024 my expensive gaming mouse "died" & I replaced it twice. By Sept 2024 when I owned it for a year I was well into having graphics issues, wifi issues, & unexplainable problems like every single voice platform breaking up or simply not working, my mouse glitching out, excessive & unexplainable latency in different programs or games, random programs crashing at random times that eventually led into constant bug splats, programs or even my computer constantly freezing up or crashing when plugging my monitor in via HDMI cable, the laptop putting off excessive heat even with a very good cooling pad with 4 fans + additional regular fans blowing on it constantly. The entire time, all Windows scans on the computer came back clean, all virus & malware scans also came back clean & all windows updates as well as virus & malware program updates downloaded & installed without any problems. By October, these issues had gotten so bad I was having to restart my computer or reload programs uncountable times in a 3 hour period that I got to where I constantly felt the need to throw the laptop off my balcony. All issues with other programs or hardware came back clean on the undividual programs, hardware or ISP (the case of wifi, latency, other ISP/internet issues) during troubleshooting that was not done using my laptop to perform. I think it was very late October or very early November when the black screens started up & I would have to hold the power button down to shut it down then random restarts out of nowhere began & then blue screens of death began & all of this came on rapidly within just a few days but from here on everything leading up to this was going on at any given time. In January 2025, despite clean scans, it was decided to just do a factory rest, but couldnt, Microsoft could not even get windows to install the repair version remotely. Then finally Asus was unable to get it to factory rest which finally was the last attempt at a rest because the laptop became bricked. I now know that there were serious hardware issues out of the box after speaking at length with both Asus & Asurion (extended warranty). Where I come from there is a joke that this was probably made on a Friday. I am sure this was just a case of a lemon & that not everyone has had this experience but I will not take my chances by purchasing it again. I would like to note here that Asurion (once I was finally able to get in touch with a person) went above & beyond to help me & since I only had 5 months left on my extended warranty, they expedited my claim. I received a call 5 hours after it delivered to their facility explaining the issues & delivering the news that it was definitely dead & then they issued my reimbursement & I received that very promptly. Asus has always been a good computer for me, this was my 4th, so this will not keep me from buying from them again in the future, I will just be more cautious AND, I will pay closer attention to little things that seem random cause they pile up quick. I hope my experience (even as confusing or erratic as it is) will help others to know that if you purchase any type of devicesout there, to pay close attention to oddities, especially when they come at you on the constant or near constant.

Solid gaming laptop with a few quirks
Good: Plays everything I have with great performance. Good: Great specs. Does everything I need it to do and will ever do. Good: The screen quality is great. Meh: Not a fan of all the bloatware that comes with this rig. Meh: Had a couple issues at first where the function keys just stopped working. Driver and BIOS updates seemed to fix that. Meh: Battery life is abysmal but Optimus helps with that. Also wasn’t expecting this thing to last 8 hours given its primary function and hardware. Meh: I can’t figure out how to properly wake up the laptop from sleep mode. Sometimes clicking the mouse works, sometimes pressing a key does the trick, and other times I have to press the power button to awaken it. Unsure: I hear frequent scratchy sounds from the board that almost sound like an old school hard drive on its way to total failure. Google suggests this might be coil whine, but I’m not really sure.

Great gaming laptop!
The specs are great, it’s more than most gamers will ever need! Fast, responsive, the graphics & QHD screen resolution are beautiful. Built in speaker sound is just ok, you can make adjustments to improve quality or simply connect to a bluetooth speaker to level up your audio expedience. The fans do a good job keeping it cool but it does get very warm when running high performance, not bad though. Personally I spent way too much time researching for the best of the best gaming laptops in this price category and I can confidently say that I’m really happy with my purchase & selection! Honestly i’d give this ROG Strix an 8 out of 10!

These products are imported from US. So the warranty is not covered in UAE. Only seller warranty is there i.e contact seller if any issue occurs. Product is genuine and is like a beast. It handles everything with ease. Great performance as per specs.
