Ditch the gas units. This puppy is the bomb! Super easy to load new twine and battery lasts about forty minutes. This purchase was long overdue. Highly recommended for sure.

My place is several acres of mixed forest and Himalayan blackberry. Keeping it beat back is a challenge. I bought this string trimmer a bit more than 2 years ago and have to say, it is a beast! The 56V battery/motor set is very powerful, letting it chew through heavy stuff pretty easily.The bump string feed has worked very time so far. But it pretty easy to end up with more than you need and it makes a noisy job of cutting itself to length.The power string loader is very good, too. No need to take anything apart. Simply cut the length you want to load (usually I go with about 16 feet), push one end through the spool on the trimmer and pull the line through until you have equal lengths on each side of the head. Then press the feed button on the back of the head. The feed pulses pulling in a several inches of line from each side with each pulse until it's all in (leave about 12 inches free to start cutting). You will want to hold onto the string and keep some tension on it as it draws in to keep things tight and even.I bought a matching Ego hedge trimmer to handle the heavier growth and the two do just about all I need done. I bought the hedge trimmer as a tool-only and switch the battery between the two. The battery is 2.5 AH and gives a lot of use with either. The battery has a glowing button indicator showing how much charge is left. Battery life depends on how heavy you are using it, but it rarely is less than a half hour of heavy-duty work. The battery recharges within an hourI use .096 in commercial duty string and it lasts pretty well, even chewing through the undergrowth.Have fun!

Great product, so happy I got it. It's well-balanced and easy to control, it turns at a high RPM, which helps give it a nice, clean cut and not too heavy.
