7dayshop USB 4.0 Bluetooth Wireless Dongle EDR Adapter. Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver

This is not a Broadcom device it is a CSR 8510 device with BlueSoleil software. Broadcom (Widcomm) software doesn't recognise the dongle. It does not work on Windows 8 x64 unless the Bluesoleil application sofware is installed. Without it, although Windows installs device drivers, a simple task such as transfering a photo from a smartphone cannot be accomplished. The supplied software is version 8.x.x.x whereas the current version is 10.x.x.x.One star for wasting my time.Update:The product description (now redacted) better describes the rival "Plugable" dongle. Better adapter for few pennies more. Reviewed on YouTube. :). Don't waste time on these monkeys.Update2:Since posting this the seller has changed the description on Amazon so that it no longer claims to be a Broadcom device. Although the same claims are still being made on their own website.Update3:The seller (7Dayshop) got Amazon to remove my negative feedback on the grounds that it was a product review and not feedback. Even though it was a single line stating "seller misrepresented product".

Problems with loading software which led to calling for help from 7dayshop .. and they were able to help with Web download which at least got the dongle usable. Software DVD label and packaging no help whatsoever with guidance to setting up this unit.. but available pdf instruction download could and should have been included . Otherwise seems fine.

I installed the dongle using the supplied drivers CD.This installed 'Blue Soleil 8'. I'm running 64bit Win7.However, this is an evaluation copy only, and requires you to register it using a serial number. This serial number is not included in the packaging which I received, so I feel that the description 'Full Software CD' is misleading, to say the least.

Hi,This is ideal saves having cables laying about, just plug it in a USB port and you are up and running. what I would advise if possible keep it plugged in the computer as being small it could be mislaid, if you have another piece of equipment as the price is so good, get on for each unit., on my laptop I have one, also a wireless mouse, I have never liked using the touch pad.

This is a great product which enables me to connect my laptop or desktop audio to a blue tooth speaker system. The drivers and additional software came on a mini cd disk which installed without any problems. I did need to restart my pc to get everything set up and connected but once done I was able to open the software and search for any blue tooth device which was connected and turned on in search mode.

it's ok preforms as it should, very easy to connect & setup.
