People love to hate on strip tests. But, these are the best. I tried a competitor brand that was on sale and could hardly ever get a clear read on the colors. These always saturate evenly and clearly. This gives me a quick and easy answer and it works for maintaining our pool.

Chlorine and alkalinity are accurate. pH is way out.

We’ve had an in ground swimming pool for 10 years now which was maintained by a pool company the whole time. I started to realize the pool company would test my pool water, but never add any chemicals (luckily I only got algae once). I started to maintain our pool and save us $150 a month. I came across these testing strips and thought they would be easy to use. I was right…the only thing I needed to do was dip the tester in my pool and the App does everything else for you! It scans your tester, records your results and then tells you what chemicals you need and how much to add. I love that you can manually adjust your readings if you believe it didn’t properly scan the right results. It also stores your testing history. My pool water has never looked so clear!!! I wanted to test my results against Leslie’s Pool Company store results and the measurements were almost exact….so that tells me these little strips WORK!!! INFO ABOUT MY POOL: 25,000 gallon freeform, inground pebble-tec plaster, saltwater pool with automatic chlorine generator.

I don't think these are really any better than others that are less expensive. But the Clorox pool app is really nice for reading the strips. I have trouble eyeballing the results, so the app is really nice.
