Change the color without buying a new rug
Saved my non-matching area rug! I had a beautiful very thick very nice 12 foot round area rug. However, it didn't match my home furnishings any longer. The colors weren't right. So I got this fabric paint and I'm able to use the rug once more.

Excellent
I really liked this spray paint, especially how fast it dries. I used it to paint a white leather chair that was extremely worn out. I wanted to revive it and completely change the color — and honestly, it worked amazingly well. The paint covered the imperfections really nicely. I didn’t use any primer, but I did clean the chair thoroughly with ethyl alcohol before painting. I applied around four coats, and for being spray paint, the result was actually very good. Previously, I had painted the chair white with another product, but it turned out sticky. Because of that, I had to sand it well and prepare the surface better so this paint would adhere properly — and it did an excellent job. The chair has now been painted for about three months. You can sit on it with no problem, nothing sticks to it, and it’s very easy to clean with just a cloth. The paint is quite durable, honestly I have nothing bad to say about it. Excellent option for leather and for giving old chairs a second life. Highly recommended if you want to refresh furniture instead of throwing it away.

Excellent refinishing paint
Phenomenal. I ordered one can as an experiment and it worked out so well I ordered a few more to redo the vinyl seats in my jeep. See image of original red color.

First Spray Can Failure - Ever
From all appearances this was going to be the color I needed, and although the ratings were not the greatest, I thought I would take a chance. Oops! Although not a professional painter, I have used rattle cans for small painting projects for about 60 years. In all that time, I have never had a can put more paint on me than on the item I was painting - until this can of S. M. Arnold spray paint. Even more frustrating than painting my hand and floor was the fact that I wrote to S. M. Arnold about two months ago outlining the problem I had and asking for any recommendation on how to avoid this issue again. With some insight, or recommendations from S. M. Arnold on how to avoid this issue in the future I was willing to purchase another can of this paint, based upon my thought that there was perhaps an issue with only one batch of paint, that the manufacturer recognized the problem and had resolved it. However, after about a two month period of silence from S. M. Arnold I get the impression that ignoring a customer's question/concern/complaint is their view of an effective business approach. I guess many people/businesses do not recognize that not answering a question is really an answer. However, the "silence - no answer, answer" appears to be: "leave me alone, do not ask for help, just buy another one of my products - maybe it will work, maybe it will not work". I did not ask for a no cost replacement can of this paint from them - I just wanted to know how to avoid this issue going forward. Oh well, on to my search for another manufacturer's paint that will provide the color I was seeking. Bummer. Like I said, I would have bought another can of this paint since it gives all appearance of being the color I wanted.

WORKED ... with caveats :)
WORKED! I have beige/taupe carpet and upon reading reviews for carpet dye paint that it was always darker than expected, I ordered the too-light-at-first-glance off white color. And it was PERFECT. I had a 2" yellow bleach stain with a bit of dark orange in the center on my carpet. Following the directions to the letter, this worked to disguise the stain ~90% (nothing will ever be perfect...it's a STAIN). That got me so excited that I went overboard for a different stain, and to my dismay it did NOT work (so warning: too much product at too close a spray point does NOT improve efficacy and in fact makes it worse). However, I'm now in the process of trying to bleach out that stain so that I can THEN use this product! The reason for 4 stars is because the nozzle system is way to sensitive so I ended up spraying myself and this stuff does NOT come out. Treat it like using spray nail polish: it will come off skin with harsh scrubbing but otherwise only acetone will take it off (so if you have fake nails like me, forget it - only a manicure will fix 'em). And there's no way to "dab" this stuff, either - it's a forceful spray or nothing. I sprayed some paint in a small glass of water and while this stuff congealed on the surface and I could use a small brush to dab it, I ended up ruining the glass and the paint brush...oh well. I'm still so happy to have disguised that one stain that I don't care.

Exactly what I needed!!!
I bought these chairs a few months back as project pieces. This Doeskin color paint was exactly what i needed to bring it all together. It's a bit expensive, but totally worth it! The paint is indeed flexible and moves with the vinyl. I followed the instructions exactly and it worked marvelously! Now to see how it holds up🤞😄 Edit 2026: The chair arms have held up beautifully. Paint still looks brand new. No chipping, peeling or fading. Bought in the color Cappuccino recently to upcycle a vintage, vinyl clutch and it came out amazing! The color is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. We'll see how it holds up on a purse this time😃

Spray nozzle not good
The spray nozzle is junk, came out in spurts, not an even spray at all. I was in a hurry ordering and I needed dark grey so I ordered. Should have read reviews. I used another spray nozzle from a can of spray paint it worked quite well. It was for a small fishing boat seat, the trim was green and the other 2 seats had dark grey. Time will tell if it holds up, but I do have another brand of light gray that I ordered before that worked great I’ll use if it doesn’t hold up. Don’t think I’ll buy this brand again, they need to improve there spray nozzle!!! Can’t be that much more expensive!!
