First off, echoing other reviews, when it says oversized, it means it. That said, I ordered an XL because I like mine to fit on the bigger side. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so large and came close to returning it before I even tried it on. I am so, so glad that I didn't. I adore the large fit. I've been wearing this as a coat essentially since I got it. I hate winter coats and this sweater is thick and toasty and keeps me so warm. And also looks super cute while doing so. I got the basic black and am considering another color just to add some variety.

My wife loves this sweater but when they say "oversized" they really mean it. I would suggest you go down one size unless you like them extra large.

This is super soft, comfy sweater - but it truly is oversized. That said, it's great for layering. It has two large pockets and button down closure with a wide collar. It does have a boxier look but it's a knit sweater! It is also machine washable but i dried it flat. I love it!!

This oversized cardigan is a little oddly shaped. It’s pretty much as pictured, but looks much less attractive unless you’re not intentionally posing with it. I ordered my usual size since it’s already an oversized item, but I could’ve probably gone another size up. Last but not least… I washed this before first wearing this, paired it with some black leggings and there was so much lint!! Hope this goes away after a few washes. Overall, I will keep it mostly for lounging around the house, but it just didn’t fit me as well as I’d hoped.

I love the sweater because it's oversized and really cute, however the pockets makes the sweater protrude and not lay flat, therefore making your hips look huge! Too bad because it is cute.

Made extremely well and fits like a glove. This is a great buy all around

As many other reviewers have mentioned - this PRETTYGARDEN Womens (sic) Fall Fashion Open Front Oversized Cardigan is truly “Oversized” So keep that in mind when ordering.I am 5’4”, small build, and I ordered a small in Sage Green - and I’m absolutely swimming in it. Do I mind? NOPE! Because I love a giant, warm, cozy comfy sweater! Despite the description saying it is ‘Lightweight’, this is a chunky feeling sweater, and while it’s 100% acrylic, it feels quite nice, almost cotton-like.The colour is very nice, a muted forest green, which would go with any number of outfits underneath.However, that being said… I do have a few issues with this sweater that keeps me from giving it five stars:1.) The shoulders tend to slip down on me, which is probably because of the shawl collar and oversized cut.2.) The hip area is a very odd shape - it balloons out at the hips where the pockets are, and no amount of smoothing it down seems to tame that. Not really a flattering shape for my body, personally. (But that won’t stop me from wearing this at the house.)3.) I saw another reviewer say the button holes end up being too big so it won’t stay buttoned, and actually I had the exact opposite issue. I had a heck of a time just unbuttoning it out of the package to try on! I am hoping they stretch out in the wash.All of that being said - this is still a very cozy, comfy sweater, and I would recommend it with the above caveats.Update: 2/26/23 - I washed this item once, and the inside tag had some sort of white coating on it, and it got some kind of coating all over the sweater. I have washed it three times trying to remove the white flecks of the compound that coated the tag, and it is a bit better, plus I am going to try to take a fabric shaver to it, but I have removed one star because of that, and I would advise cutting out all the tags prior to washing this sweater. (Last two images show the tag, and the resulting mess.)

I ordered a bit smaller than I wanted and it's still massive on me. With that said it's so incredibly soft and I wear it constantly. I've actually been wearing it as a dress because it's so big. I wear it around the house. It's been put through the ringer at home and the washing machine and has stood the test of time over the last few weeks. The color is very pretty also.
