Handmade Paints - Professional Encaustic Paint - Translucent Colors, Set of 6 40ml

R&F make the best encaustic pigments and waxes. Bonus- they are made in NY. This particular set filled in holes in my palette. The colors while transparent are rich. The paints, blocks of wax, are dense do what I need them to do. They are sold in a box which is actually an encaustic board (surprise!) so there is that unexpected bonus item I can use. My only suggestion would be to add some little cardboard triangles on the corners as mine came with two smushed. Encaustic is my favorite medium and I know I can always count on R&F to deliver what I need to be at my creative best.

R&F has the best wax on the market. When doing my encaustic art no other wax heats and works as well. You can count on consistency and perfect color match with R&F. Highly recommend.

Wish I discovered this kit first. Spent quite a bit on separate encaustic items before finding this all inclusive kit ro whet your appetite. Very well thought out and packaged well. It's really great. Thanks so much

Nice set and good value.

Overall a great starter. The product quite is great. There is, however, very little of the encaustic medium included. For the colors...there is no black and tbe green is really chartreuse. It is nice that the container is also an 8x10 prepared cradle board.

Great starter kit, can mix many colors from this palette. R&F are very pigmented, can dilute with unpigmented beeswax medium and still has a rich vibrant color. Can complete several smaller pieces with the one set.

Quality encausic paints that come with a small primed board as a bonus. This is a great buy for beginners because there are primarily colors and green which can be tricky to mix yourself.

It was great to experiment with encaustic using this kit. Just the right amount of product. A bit left over. Excellent quality.

I was reluctant at 1st to purchase these as even at their discounted price they are expensive. However, compared to other brands or my home mixed paints these are much smoother, better quality and more intensely coloured. In essence, this means a little goes a long way. A good range of opaque colours

I'm a beginner and this is perfect for getting started. I haven't used the boards yet as I'm practicing on scrap wood. The brushes are okay, I didn't like their feel so I bought different ones to work with. Beautiful product, adorable and smart packaging, arrived promptly.
