Booda Cleanstep Litter Tray, Titanium

Came next day even through I chose the free delivery option. Came in very large box and packed very well. Very happy with the litter tray brilliant size and design! Only thing I would say is the top doesn't fit on the the bottom very well.

On reading about it, I was initially sceptical of this product. How can a few little steps get particles of cat litter off a cats paws and stop them treading it all over the house? So on receiving it, I loaded it with non-clumping, positioned it where my cats old box was and waited. There were suspicious sniffs at the contraption but very quickly my cats began using this box and amazingly it worked! It stops 80-90% of the mess associated with other boxes in my estimation. I occasionally spot the odd grain here and there but these are easily dealt with. I regularly vacuum the little steps as suggested by a reviewer in the USA and this really does the trick. Since its enclosed, odours are very well controlled and poor aiming on the cats part doesn't result in a spill on the floor. My cats tend to scratch at the wall after using an ordinary litter tray causing minor damage but now they just scratch the inside of the Booda!A highly recommended piece of equipment.

Good size for my cat I thought but the lid doesn't stay on properly, had to use Velcro strips to fix it on and even with the lid off for my cat to get used to it, he gets in and pees over the edge!! Obviously not the trays fault but probably because he is quite a big cat.

I actually already had one of these before (in Iris- purple) and was pretty pleased with it. So, when I got a new kitten, I knew I wanted another one and the Titanium one was what I chose.It's big enough for my Maine coon kittens just now and hopefully it will remain so as they grow bigger. It helps reduce the amount of tracked/spilt litter and is pretty good at keeping smells down. And it looks pretty cool to - like a futuristic igloo or something. All in all, I do quite like the product.I was a bit miffed about the delivery which was a little longer that I expected (having paid a premium, I was hoping to get the item towards the lower end of the specified time frame). Also, the colour Titanium wasn't as metallic or "popping" in the actual item as it looks in the picture- more like a pastel beige, to be honest. And finally, the filter holders of the litter tray are quite flimsy and prone to falling open (but a bit of blue tack wedged in always solves this minor design flaw).

Too big and bulky

My cats were a little hesitant at first, but after they got used to it this proved to be a very hygienic cat tray, as the litter that inevitable sticks to their toes was significantly reduced as the steps help to knock it off before they get outside! It looks very trendy too - which is great - as cat litter trays are not usual aesthetically pleasing!

I bought this having read some positive reviews on here but having had it for 5 days I can safely say that it's not worth the very costly price tag. Firstly there were cosmetic marks/scrapes on the surface but since it's a cat litter box it didn't bother me much.There is barely a noticeable difference in the reduced amount of cat litter that the cats paws trail out.If the lid isn't on perfectly there is a risk of urine dripping through the gap.There is no difference in smell to an uncovered style due to the large gap at the top. (A filter can be applied) but having just spent over £42 for the cat litter box I think at least one should be included in the price.It's a very large box so think twice unless you have plenty of room.Overall given what I know now, I wouldn't buy another one.

Lid is loose like all say but cat can't knock it off so no problem here.
