Great GPU option for Dell Optiplex SFF
So I picked this GPU up to add a nice upgrade to my Dell 7070 small form factor PC. Having spent many hours trawling Reddit and YouTube I settled with the RTX 3050 6GB low profile. This PC is mainly used for Lightroom exports and light photoshop work and I needed something to speed up some the AI features and aid with photoshops more graphical intensive tasks. Anyway, this fit perfectly, although the 16 channel PCIE slot sits too close to the Optiplex PSU so you’re only able to put this in the 8 channel lane. This will reduce performance slightly. See attached photo with my trying the card in my other build, but using a 16 channel PCIE lane it’s able to perform for efficiently. Anyway, on a few basic benchmarks this card was able to perform to a suitable level. It will run games like Fortnite at about 100fps, although this is not what I intended to use it for. Unfortunately due to the layout inside an Optiplex case the fans sit about 2cm away from the top of the PSU so you’ll find the fans spinning up pretty fast to try and cool the GPU down, with it hitting about 65c on a few occasions whilst gaming. As far at GPU options currently for these types of systems you’ll struggle to find much better in a low profile card and it does exactly what I want it to. It is tiny, with a photo of my Gigabyte RTX 3060 12gb OC next to it for comparison. Anyway, if you’re not expecting earth shattering performance but need decent bang for buck and capable GPU for a small form factor PC, then this should definitely be a contender. I would note that if your system will fit a full sized card, they’re generally abit cheaper in a like for like comparison and you’ll get better performance with higher RAM configurations and better cooling. So this is only worth it for a small system with limited case room.

Excellent for middle spec 1080/1440p gaming!
Excellent gpu for the price. Plays 1440p at 60fps smoothly. Graphics almost PS5 like coming from a console gamer. Good to play vast majority of non ps5 games on PC at a reasonably good spec :-) No PSU upgrade was required too.

Relatively cheap and still useable with most of today's games. Fairly low power draw.
Used with Fractal Design R6, Asus Crosshair Vi Extreme x370, 5950x air cooled by noctua D15, Samsung 990 Evo plus, Corsair 3000mhz (stock settings so lower mhz) vengeance ram. Stock settings for everything. Only struggles with The Last of Us and Kingdom Come Deliverance with graphics turned up beyond recommendations. Runs both games without issue on recommended settings 1080p. Not an impressive FPS but smooth enough gameplay. The power supply powering all the above is a 520w Silverstone Nightjar. Quite low power and only passively cooled, no fan. It remains in the 30°c region to 40's during gaming. I only mention the above two games as they're the most demanding on resources I have tried. There's far better out there if you are willing to pay the price. This 3060 though will support a tighter wallet gamer. Especially story driven single player.

Easy to install Video Card that smoothed out Photoshop glitches without breaking the bank
I mostly use the PC for photo-editing but hadn't connected Photoshop actions like "Photomerge" failing with my graphics set-up. However, as soon as this card went in its power and dedicated graphics memory meant that Photoshop ran smoothly again. Very happy. This came to light because my long in the tooth PC had been adequate until I recently bought a new screen whose resolution was beyond the capabilities of my integrated Intel Graphics. I hadn't known this would be the case, to be honest I hadn't even realised that HDMI had been superceded by DP. I did wonder whether a new computer was the solution and whether a graphics card would be a waste of money as I'd end up giving in to a new PC anyway, but this card was reasonably priced, wasn't too big to fit into anything but a gaming computer's case and seemed quite powerful, plus all the reviews said it was quiet. And so it has proved, and best yet, while it comes with instructions on how to find and install drivers, while I was reading those instructions Windows found and installed the necessary drivers itself!

Happy
I bought this to upgrade from my GTX 960 and I'm happy with the performance. I don't play games and only do photo and video editing and it is much faster and smoother than the one it replaced.
