Great book for any experience level
There are so many aspects of working with serverless technologies that you have to think about that are not just about where your code is running, Sheen and Luke did a great job describing all the pieces involved, starting from the organizational changes needed to be able to adopt these technologies and practices going all the way to architectural design patterns and when to use them for serverless technologies. It is very digestible and specific chapters can be provided to non technical people to better understand how you and your organization can be part of the serverless movement.

Not a technical book
This book lacks of technical implementation or patterns used in the serverless development, it is more like an introduction to the AWS technologies

A glorified sales pitch
I’ve been a big fan of O’Reilly books and wanted so badly to like this book. It’s just not good. The discussion of severless is in depth enough to explain the benefits but lacks depth on implementation. As another reviewer stated, it is not technical at all. This book is written to sell AWS serverless services. The whole book reads as an advertisement and the longest chapter is devoted to how to convince your company to transition to AWS serverless. The few times the book does get technical, it glosses over the aspects that would be helpful for developers. Example: the Lambda optimization section is two pages long -__-I really wish I hadn’t underlined the 4 things I did because now I have a $50 paper weight.

Very insightful book
I have found this book very insightful!I got stuck in quickly, and I have gained valuable knowledge! This book is a complete guide on serverless on AWS! It takes you through all the areas you need to understand when considering adopting serverless. The diagrams and code snippets were also handy, helping create a complete picture of what the authors were sharing.I cannot recommend this book enough! It's a great way to learn about serverless on AWS!

Not a technical book
If you’re looking for technical examples you can dig into this is not the book for you. Very informative on the subject of serverless and aimed at someone pushing for it at their company maybe. Was hoping it was latest and greatest serverless patterns/implementations.
