I bought these for my back patio. My wife likes to sit out there during happy hour. I have a wall light at the door leading out from the house and a floodlight at the other end of the patio. My wife didn't like the floodlight or the wall light at the door. She wanted something softer and more personal. I bought two strings and just plugged then together and used Christmas light hangers to attach them to the eve of the house. A small table with an umbrella serves as a light pole where I ran the lights over to the top of the umbrella and then back to eve of the house in a 'V' shape. SHE LOVES THEM!!!

These are.... fine. But not what I was hoping for. I saw some of the reviews and it seems some people got 2 different styles, some strings of lights had bulbs 1 foot apart, some had 2. I really wanted them to be 1 foot apart, this just wasn't what I hoped for and the images didn't help so I took a chance and lost. Buyer beware. They are nice and all, just got them, so can't speak to their durability yet. Just wasn't what I was looking for.

These are exactly what I was looking for, my apartment community doesn't allow certain bulbs and these were perfect, I can have them up year round, they were so easy to put together and the lighting on them is great! I can enjoy reading outdoors or a cup of tea before bed and it is nicely lit up.

These lights were the perfect addition to our new home and covered back porch! They were bright and lit the whole backyard for a few weeks. We would unplug during daytime hours and plug back in during the night and social hours. However, many bulbs went out after a short few weeks. We had to order another pack of bulbs just to make it through the summer. Now we keep them unplugged unless we plan to have company. Still adore this product and highly recommend it! I just recommend keeping them unplugged unless you plan to change the bulbs frequently.
