CableWholesale VGA to Component Video Adapter (30H1-50200)

Granted I've only been using it for a few minutes, but works great! To be clear what it does, it does not "convert" a component video feed to VGA. If your display, in my case Canon projector has a VGA port that accepts a standard computer video card input or a component signal, then this is the cable you need.On the canon, when I press Computer 2, it first tries a computer VGA type. When I press it a second time, it now uses that connection as component. On the other end of the component cable is my Yamaha receiver. I have comcast HD and Xbox plugged into it. So I can now watch any video on the projector.

I bought this cable to play wii on my lcd monitor, but it didn't work. I tried it on multiple monitors. First one had no picture. Second one displayed but the image was all green. I let my friend try it on his HDTV, didn't work on that either. I've been gaming on wii with a VGA monitor on a modified component cable since the system first came out. Before my original cable broke, it displayed perfectly on all my screens. I bought this one to replace it but it doesn't work.

Prior to ordering this, I ran around looking for powered conversion boxes, etc. There is a lot of confusion out there about what signals can be passed through to what monitors. This little adapter worked well for me so here's the specifics of my system. Connect your audio as well using a separate L/R audio cable. Connect the VGA plug to your monitor and select VGA mode. The monitor show allows for 2 HDMI inputs and 1 VGA input. Turn on the Wii and your done. The colors look pretty rich on this ASUS monitor as it allows for color adjustment. I'd encourage you to check the specs of the monitor to make sure yours is similar. I think the KEY ingredient is the VGA input. By offering this connection, the adapter does not need to "convert" anything and just passes the signal through to the monitor via the HD15 (VGA) connector.For the price, this can't be beat and performs exactly as I hoped it would. (slight leap of faith on my part)

The cable works to go from a Component (RGB) cable to a VGA cable (a monitor cable). The VGA cable doesn't have an audio output, so it only takes the RGB segment.The one I received worked - to a degree. It only displayed green on my computer monitor, on a Component cable that had been tested with a TV. On the TV with the VGA port, it didn't work at all. This might not be the case with every cable, though.

We got a Westinghouse TV and in the specs it said it had component input. Got it out of the box only to find it has a VGA-component input which needs an adapter to connect the 3 component cables to the female VGA connector on the back of the TV. Ordered this adapter & it arrived very quickly & worked as promised. Our TV is attached to a shallow wall mount & it was a bit difficult to get the wires routed so that the TV sits flush against the wall. We have our wii hooked up to our new TV & it works great.

Tested good, and it's really WELL MADE! price was not cheap, but, not expensive. I had planned it for the DVD's red, blue and green RCA connections to my Home Theater room's projector's VGA "computer input", but I didn't wait and went with the another connector input. I would recommend it as a good quality product. it is just 12 inches end to end. You will need two "hex coupling nuts" to connect this female VGA to the "male-male VGA cable" to a monitor or projector.

I hoped to connect Wii to computer monitor. It didn't work at all on one and was tinted green on the other. I think you have to have a monitor that is capable of switching component signals to analog. Anyway, I bought a converter box from Amazon that works great; I can easily switch from computer audio and sound to Wii audio and sound with the box...for 8x the money of this cable.

I purchased this adapter cable to replace the VGA to Component adapter that came with my data projector. This adapter cable did the job. I used this to connect a DVD player to a data projector via the VGA port. I own 2 different brands and models of data projectors and this worked on both. The picture is great! I also used this cable to connect from a Dish Network cable box to a data projector. Using this cable I was able to connect to one projector with an HDMI cable and the component to the 2nd data projector at the same time.I'm ordering 2 more of these so I have one for each projector bag and a spare.

I purchased this adapter because the one that came with my capture card had a busted blue channel right out of the box, this replacement cable was affordable and does the job well.
