I bought the Trond power strip initially because I wanted to plug in my grounding sheets and pillowcase to a strip that featured a large enough joule resistance to protect me while I was sleeping in the extremely unlikely event the house was struck by lightning or in case we suffered voltage spikes in the night. We live in a rented townhouse that has some dodgy wiring so I wanted the maximum protection and the longest use before the unit would need to be replaced.This unit advertised 4000joules, 13 outlets and 4 USB connections for a really great price!After receiving the unit I tested it with a power supply and meter and can verify that it is functional and as advertised. The unit is solidly made, has 4 screw mounts built in and comes with the 4 screws needed if you decided to wall or bench mount it.I'm so happy with the purchase that I've now ordered and received a 2nd unit for use in my home office.Highly recommend!!

I bought a pair of these for A/V components at one location in the house. I like having the USB ports. They really come in handy. I also like the mounting configuration. They also have a nice rating for surge protection.

This product has more plug-in receptacles than I could possibly fill. It is an excellent piece of equipment. Whoever made this thought of it in detail. I love the fact that you can plug the cord into a slot for charging your electronic devices. Thank you so much.

I bought this to replace a power strip that was old and had seen a better day. keep my stereo and surround sound part of my entertainment sent plugged it. It offers plenty of space for the power connectors and a quality switch to shut off all the power when I leave for a trip.

This is a very good unit. My preference was a 4' power cord, but the 5' length is manageable - the insulation for the power line is rather vinyl in feeling and in response to bending - a rubber or neoprene type coating would prove to be more flexible. Also, a small LED indicator in the switch (to show On vs. Off ) would have been welcome - has an excellent amount of ports.Good product - not "fabulous" , but performs well and is dependable.

At 4000J rating, this is my best surge protector. My wife has it on her online teaching computer in her office. There are multiple computing devices connected (full desktop, backup laptop), multitude of lights, and other accessories. This has enough plugs to handle them all.The spacing on the plugs is good -- we can place a regular plug adjacent to an adapter, so by alternating we are able to access every plug (we use up to 10 of the 13 plugs, so room to expand). The form factor is also good -- the thin size and more rectangular size (versus long strip) made this easy to mount on the side of her desk.All the plugs we need plus the peace of mind of a 4000J surge rating makes this an excellent power strip for us.

I was looking for something that would allow me to organize a bunch of plugs for electronics, while allowing me to avoid multiple "power bars". This is it. Nice long power cord and the plugs are spaced neatly to allow for those bulky odd shaped plugs.
