Coleman Chiller Series Insulated Portable Soft Cooler, Leak-Proof 9 Can Capacity Lunch Cooler with Ice Retention

This lunchbag is a HUGE HIT with my son! He was complaining that his old lunchbag was too small to take enough food or fit a water bottle to school, so he had been buying a lot last year. Now he's in 7th Grade and genuinely NEEDS to take more food. He's 12 years old and already topping out at 5'3 and 110 lbs and he's hungry ALL of the time. As all parents know, this age kids are picky about the "style" of what you buy. Can't be too "kiddie", can't be too flashy, still has to be cool...but can't look like Grandpa's lunchbag, either. *Sigh* I rolled the dice in shopping online and deciding on this bag without checking with my son. I spent a full day checking out lunchbags in all different sizes, colors, brands, and styles. I am so glad I picked this on! First off, it's VERY large inside for a school lunch. But not TOO big for lockers. My son loves that it has a comfortable shoulder strap for carrying and that the hard, removable inner shell keeps his lunch from getting squished (keeps it colder, too because you can easily fit a few large and small cold packs in this bag).He loves the brown and orange colors, the extra pockets, and especially the netting on the top where he can take an extra water bottle while also still fitting a full lunch inside. He takes 2 water bottles (one inside, one outside), a Capri Sun, a sandwich, yogurt, applesauce, pretzels/goldfish, a spoon and napkin and he still has plenty of space for more items on both the inside as well as the front pocket being free. My kid is never openly "excited" about anything much these days since they are busy being cool....but he was more excited about this bag than everything else we purchased for school and he WANTS to pack now instead of buying because he likes showing it off and says packing his lunch the night before is easier.This is because I make him pack his lunch the night before and he always hated doing it. Now he just takes the hard shell out of the bag, gets his lunch ready, and just stashes the plastic thing in the fridge and then then drops it into his bag in the morning, ready to go.I feel like the best Mom ever because my son said it was "exactly what he wanted" despite him not telling me at all "what he wanted". And for an adult, this would be fantastic. The quality is excellent, the inner shell really provides a ton of space for taking work lunch plus snacks and several drinks. The extra pockets are perfect for things like vitamins or even your wallet if you avoid taking "extra" things to work in separate bags. You could easily take your keys, wallet, and other small items and your whole lunch/beverages for the day and leave the rest in your car.I'm not just impressed as a school-shopping parent, but as an adult who really appreciates things that last through tough school years and are durable enough for jobs like Machining (my former trade), Construction, Nurses, Teachers, etc. I think this is the best lunchbag I've ever purchased and I've purchase MANY for myself as well as my son. I hope they make one in purple eventually because I plan to purchase one of these for myself and significant other, as well. If you're hesitating on the size....don't. It fits in lockers and the strap is perfect. And if you choose not to use the hard liner, it's much more compact and small. There are no Cons to this Coleman 9 Can Cooler. I wish I'd have found this years ago to know that my kid was eating and drinking enough at lunch without having to buy extras. Oh! And no more stinky lunchbags! If my son forgets to wipe out a mess....no biggie. The liner is so easy to clean that spills or use over time doesn't degrade the quality of the bag itself nor leak into bookbags or onto clothing.Coleman really made a perfect 5-Star product with this one. I'd pay double this price for this bag!

This came yesterday, the day after it was ordered (WOW! Quick delivery! But then it only came from one state away!), but I had to send it back again last night.Why did I give it 4 stars then? Well, I liked the size, the durability of it. There are some reviews that complain about the stiffness of the zipper. I didn't notice any of that. Other reviews complain that the side pockets are too tight. Well, that I can see, but I didn't try to put anything in them yesterday. I also loved the color of it. Bright enough to be found, but not florescent or obnoxious for my husband to carry to work. It is perfect sized it appears (I haven't actually USED it to pack a lunch yet) to pack a single meal for a single person with maybe a snack added in too. I also love the fact that the inner portion can be removed. it is a hard plastic which will limit "stuffing" the bag full a bit and will make it less pliable for what gets put in, but it can be removed and washed and left to air dry on it's own. You see, this is a replacement for my husband's old (and NASTY) lunch box that I am sure has mold growing in between the layers from washing it out in the sink a million times after food was left in there and spoiled and spilled and blech!Why did I not give it 5 stars then? And why did I send it back last night? Well there was a rip in the one seam when it arrived last night. This was disappointing, but I expected to use it as a holiday gift for my husband so I have some time to get a new one -- and according to the text message I just received, it will be here tomorrow. I will attempt to remember to come back and update this review after the new one arrives and how well it works for him.UPDATE (11/8): Replacement arrived today, and it looks great! No rip in this one. I'm going to be hard pressed to not give this to my hubs early, just to get ride of the old stinky one. ;) I'm excited for him to be able to use it.UPDATE (12/28): Ooops! Forgot to come update, hubs LOVES it, although he keeps removing that inner container, and I keep putting it back. Perfect sized for a single meal and a few snacks for his 12 hour shifts. And you'll note that the 5th star has been given!

Perfect little lunch bag. Solid plastic liner makes cleaning a breeze. Good amount of storage in front pocket it side areas. Perfect for work.

I used this bag on one of the hottest days of the year to sit outside at a sports event. I took 6 Large cans and two sandwiches. I used it all day from like 8am until around 5pm. By the time I got home the two cans I had left in there were still very cold. Its got a nice handy strap to wear it over your shoulder and the inside has a good plastic like box you can get out. For the price its brilliant.

Decidí comprar esta hielera (Capacidad para 9 latas) para sustituir la lonchera escolar de mi pequeño; la diferencia de tamaño entre ambas es mínima (la hielera es aproximadamente 3 cm. más alta) y cumple muy bien el propósito. La combinación de colores, en mi opinión, es agradable a la vista y la textura tipo lona, así como sus costuras, lucen resistentes. El contenedor plástico interno contribuye a mantener su estructura, evitar derrames y facilitar su limpieza. Creo que independientemente de su diseño como hielera, a este producto se le pueden dar diferentes usos por los diferentes compartimientos (1 interno y 4 externos) que la integran. La correa a pesar de no ser muy larga, es ajustable; mi pequeño la puede llevar cruzada al hombro y ligeramente holgada. Totalmente recomendable para quienes acostumbran llevar el lunch a la oficina o escuela, agregándole que la buena calidad es una constante de la marca Coleman. Y como es costumbre, el paquete recibido llegó impecable y en tiempo razonable. Saludos y suerte en sus compras !

Compre en color rojo y se ve mas bien color vino, es un color elegante y discreto a la vez ya que no es el tipico "rojo vibrante", está excelente para usarla como lonchera y llevarla a la oficina.La compre como regalo para mi esposo y le encantó.Viene con una charola blanca de plástico muy útil, pero yo prefiero quitársela para guardar el lonche.Le cabe muy bien las vasijas del lonche y le sobra espacio para algo de fruta como naranjas o un yogurt.Otro punto a favor es que la aza/agarradera se recorre y así se puede usar tanto en el hombro o bien de mano.Es una lonchera muy bonita a excelente precio y de buena marca.
