151 Step & Tile Paint RED 180ML

heavy duty paint
needed this for a concrete door step. Contrary to a lot of the reviews there was enough for 2 coats and to be honest it covered brilliantly with just one coat. A very tough paint with what i think is grit ingrained to give a good non slip finish. Well pleased.

Be careful! It's red for a reason!
Did the job with it when it finally arrived and we finally got into the tin. It's red - brighter than it appears on the tin, but it's for a doorstep, so that's ok, I guess. Looks just fine, and the tin size was enough for half to be used this time thus saving the other half for next time! It arrived three days later than hoped for and was not despatched particularly quickly. The worst issue with this purchase was trying to get INTO the tin. This was an absolute nightmare involving thick ends of spoons and the use of a Swiss army knife. As we tried to prise open the tip the sharp edges revealed on the lid as the poorly rolled lid edge bent meant I received a nasty cut. Just as well it was red I was going for......Other than that, it does what it says on the tin!

Quality product
The paint gives great coverage, no second coat is needed, and the colour is exactly what I expected. Be aware though, as it's very thick paint (which is what you want) it doesn't go very far. I have 2 steps (shown in the picture), maybe a square meter in total including the risers, and the 250ml tin was exactly enough, not a drop to spare. I'm very happy with the product.

Excellant Paint But A Challange To Open The Cover
This was probably not the main purpose it was intended for but I just needed to repaint the skirting board area of a wall and it was perfect for it, the same red colour it was before and it is very good quality paint, I dare say excellent but one thing I would say, if the manufacturers take on board feedback, they need to make the tin cover easier to open. It was ridiculously difficult. Unlike with other tins of paint, I have opened, it's not just a case of lifting it up at the edge until it comes off, you do that first but then you have to treat it like a giant cork and kind of pull it till it comes off. Thanks.

Top quality step paint.
I bought this for our front step and a 180 ml can was sufficient. It's solvent-based, so you'll need some white spirit to clean your brush. It's essentially a non-drip paint and can be applied quite liberally. It dries to a nice finish and the included grit gives a non-slip surface. As others have noted, the tin is very tightly closed, so use a strong, broad-headed screwdriver and gradually go round the edge to open. I can't speak for its durability yet, but it looks like it'll last a fair while. 5 stars from me. :)

VERY SMALL TIN !
In short, seems to be good quality paint. Only time and wear will truly tell. It's thick and certainly seems to be rich in pigment and one coat will surely be enough. I have four steps each 1.7 Mtrs long from the back door to the garden. One tin didn't even cover the top surface of one step.

Good anti slip paint
It’s def red and it has added sand/grit so you don’t fall on your arse when it rains - I emptied the tin doing our 3 steps so just enough for me - and yes the lid is tight so don’t use a spoon!!!

Step and tile paint.
The paint was very thick but it did a brilliant job.I ordered 2 cans which was good as otherwise I wouldn’t have had enough. This maybe was because I tend to be very generous when I’m painting.I love my step which was in dire need of a bit of tic.
