There is a reason that only 6 of these were purchased at the time of this review. Instead of rambling, I will bullet point the issues.1) Some of the pieces did not have the pre drilled holes. I’m not referring to the parts that you simply use a small screw and alignment won’t matter.2) It’s obvious that the pieces are painted using a spray gun, not an issue. The issue is the paint is over sprayed in some areas causing streaking and under sprayed in others. The unbelievable part is that some of the pieces were picked up before being totally dry, causing hands prints on the pieces.3) Some of the pre drilled holes do not line up with the pre drilled hole in the connecting piece.4) This is not applicable for one person to use. Other brands on Amazon have the top shelf stay on the bed when open. This unit, the top shelf comes off and needs to be used as part of the frame. It is way too heavy and awkward for one person to handle.5) The pictures on the instructions are not user friendly. Study them carefully before bolting things together as you may find yourself un bolting and turning pieces in other directions.6) Some pieces have a hole pre drilled for a dowel pin to be inserted. On that same piece at times you will screw in a bracket. The screws are too long and go into the dowel hole causing the dowel not to go in all the way. You will need a small hammer. And before someone reading this says that I must have used the incorrect screw, I used exactly the # screw that was in the instructions.I could keep going but I have covered the crucial issues. I am a very handy person. I laid out all of the pieces and the numbered bags of hardware to be completely organized before starting. Due to the issues of missing holes and improper alignment of connecting pieces, I spent 7 hours getting this finished only to be disgusted with the finished product. Forget about trying to return the item as they request it be in its original packaging. I would highly recommend getting another brand and you will notice they will be a few hundred $$ less expensive.
