I can't say this is a professional model, but it's great for home use. I have no way to tell if it gets to the correct temperature, but it definitely melts my solder without issue. The handle seems to insulate well and I look for many years of use with it. It works great for what I need, those minor and miscellaneous soldering projects.

I used it upon receiving it to repair some jewelry for my wife. It performed perfectly. I would recommend.

I like that it comes in a case .Very handy for delicate work and it heats up fast.
