This is a great water filter for any bath tub. We have very hard water in our area and our little one has very sensitive skin. Despite having a water softener, the water was still too hard and had a bit of chlorine smell to it. After installing this water filter on the tub faucet, we noticed a big difference in the feel of the water and would definitely buy again. Aside from the filter doing it's job of filtering out mineral deposits, it also does a great job of not backing up or disrupting the water flow from the faucet. The tub fills up just as fast and most of the water goes through the filter. I could also see this being a good add for anyone with a dog or pet that has lots of skin allergies. Only thing I wish it had was some type of indicator to know when to replace it, but we're going on a year now with the original one and no issues.

i really like this water filter for the tub. it fit my tub spout very well and i did not have to use the extension piece to attach it either. it is easy to remove and put back. my water feels softer and cleaner. i could definitely see the filter not lasting as long as advertised, especially in households that use the bath more frequently. i have also noticed it helps with the tap smell. water flows freely from the spout at the exact same speed in my tub.my biggest con would be that i have yet to accurately find a way to purchase a replacement filter. as far as i have been able to deduce, when the filter does bad, you must replace the entire filter system. that isn't the end of the world, but does feel wasteful since the filter inside is removable/replaceable and there would be no need to replace the plastic parts. maybe i'm just unable to find the filter replacements, but either way this aspect is frustrating.overall, even if the whole thing had to be replaced every 4-6 months, i definitely find it useful and worth the price.
