Is this a heavy duty clock? Nope. It is super cute and serves its purpose on my built ins next to my fireplace, though!! I have only had it a month, but it works and is just as cute in person.

It’s exactly what I expected and what I was looking for! Can’t beat the price.

From the description, I thought it would be more metal, a bit heavier,,, it LOOKS decent enuff, but is not top quality in material. It is 98% plastic, with only the ring atop being a lite metal. Rest is plastic. It does function well, tho. I bought for bedside alarm- (our power flickers a good deal, so needed a battery powered one just in case)

I needed some decor for my enclosed porch and this clock looks beautiful. Functions well.

Really nice clock! Great retro look compared to all the cold and soulless electronic clocks that most people have in their bedrooms. Don't forget that It's not trying to emulate the look of a genuine antique clock with the usual scratches and blemishes. It's rather like a retro model that you would take out of its box for the first time, or as they say : "new old stock". The clock is fairly sturdy and doesn't feel cheap, but the lid at the back doesn't hold tight, so be careful. Moreover, as opposed to what some reviewers said, this is a genuine battery operated clock, so it does work (no alarm though). By the way, you can barely hear the tic tac sound once you put the lid back on. Overall, really satisfied!
