The Island of Doctor Moreau and Other Stories (Wordsworth Classics)

Not only was the book itself in superb condition, the work within was no less astonishing. A riveting Victorian parable about the dangers of abusing nature, this streamlined novella is no less relevant today.

I love Wordsworth Classics. A great way of reading some of the most loved books, whilst building up a little library, without breaking the bank.

Book is great quality and small. The short stories at the end are enjoyable.

Not one of those insanely cheaply-printed wafer-thin A4 books you can have the misfortune of paying actual money for on Amazon sometimes.You know the ones, where the text slants off the side and the story begins immediately with nary a title-page?Not exactly a hand-bound leather hardback affair posthumously signed by the author using voodoo and a very cool pen, but I don't feel as though I got a worse deal than finding a PDF online and printing it off at the public library like I sometimes do here.

Quick delivery but the item was a bit beat up with a deep dent in the cover and several scratches. If you’re getting it as a gift that would be a problem, but I wasn’t. Very happy with the print size and the book size; all Wordsworth Classics I get are complete and unabridged (VERY) important to me. I just wish it was in better shape since I thought it was supposed to be in mint condition.

Esteticamente e a livello di manifattura il libro è ottimo per il prezzo a cui è proposto.La storia è un capolavoro del genere fantascientifico: Wells crea un alone di mistero intorno al Dottor Moureau che invoglia il lettore a divorarsi il libro per capire come termina il racconto.Insieme si trovano poi altri racconti, quali: Aepyornis Island, The Sea riders, the empire of the Ants. Tutti carini e abbastanza scorrevoli da leggere.
