This was great; it's so easy to do, and it has a ton of info. The info I got matched me pretty well. There were a few things that were different, but the majority was correct, and it had some stuff that I had no idea I needed to know. I am very happy with this purchase, and the customer service was great.

So I tried this out of curiosity. And their website is so useless that I can't even register a kit. I started on Chrome, and I get to random points in the registration process before it resets the form and puts me back to the main page. I've tried about 30 times this morning, using Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer. I've tried from different computers, and even from different NETWORKS (I'm in IT and have remote access to all of our client's servers) so I know definitively it's NOT a problem on my end... What a joke. Returning the kit. If they can't be counted to even get a website that functions, what kind of trust do they think I'll put in their product for actual genetic testing? Edit: Their CEO contacted me, apologized, and offered to send me another kit to show that they could get things right. We tried. I had the exact same result, so now we have a dozen or more PC's I tried with, four different operating systems, each with 3 or 4 browsers tried, in different cities and even different states. Same result. They offered to register the kits for me, and even then it failed, they registered one, the other never came up. Several emails back and forth assuring me both kits were registered, but only one showed up. It turned out he said that the one kit was already deactivated before I even received it to activate. Then they reset my password and I couldn't get into the account. Eventually they created a second account, tied the second kit to that with a different code, and asked me to cross out the code on their label for that one, and write in a new code with a pen... All the while I kept getting requests to change or delete my review. I finally gave up, said thank you, but enough was enough. Even their efforts to help me directly didn't get me any further than their problematic website did... Too bad, they have offerings here that the others don't, such as the ability to have new data added as new things are discovered. But between MY inability to register something and even THEIR problems doing so, and the incessant requests to delete my initial bad review, I'd rather just go spend my money elsewhere... This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth... Final edit - Even after telling them I was just going to throw away the kits since I was tired of the hassle, their support emailed me saying that the problem was that one of the kits for a child was registered as an adult. But failed to realize that THEY were the ones who registered it, and that would have had NO impact on registering the other kit, the one they deactivated BEFORE they even sent it to me, and assured me multiple times WAS registered when it wasn't. And soon thereafter, the CEO started insulting me because I told him I had enough and will throw away these kits... DEFINITELY better off using another option than this company.

I found out I'm at a high risk of developing ALS, which is good to know so that if I start having symptoms in the future, I'll know what to ask them to check for

Which I found this genetic test sooner. I paid $600 just to check for the 5 methylation gene mutations like MTHFR. This kit test for those plus so many other things. The only no my family received from this test were much needed and we were able to make life style changes accordingly. Tells you which health issues your at risk for. Mine also said I have a high likelihood of developing Lupus and I do indeed have Lupus. It even tells you blood type so you know the results are correct. Money well spent. The company has great customer service too if you need help or have questions.

While this kit is easy to use and gift able, it is a little difficult to understand the results.

I’m highly disappointed with this purchase I paid $149 for this test the maximum delivery date is 4-6 weeks . They received my sample May 23rd the maximum delivery date for the results was between June 19- July 3rd. I have yet to receive any results. They also didint send me a message saying that it’s going to be longer for the results. I messaged customer service and they have said another 2 weeks. This is ridiculous for the amount of time they’ve already had and the amount of money the product cost itself

Avendo esperienza ultradecennale come paziente a cui viene prelevato il dna in ospedali e centri ricerche, sia in italia che nel mondo, ero molto incuriosito da cosa potesse uscire da un test del genere. Non mi aspettavo che trovassero la mia malattia rara, e nemmeno l'altra malattia, molto seria e abbastanza diffusa che mi dovrò portare con me fino alla fine dei miei giorni... Non l'hanno trovate, ma devo dire che hanno dimostrato enorme professionalità per cercare di capire come trovare una soluzione per le loro future analisi. Sono rimasto favorevolmente impressionato, tutta la mia stima a questo team di ricerca. Dal punto di vista della procedura, è molto meglio di quanto letto nelle recensioni precedenti alla mia: il cofanetto arriva con tutte le istruzioni per sputacchiare nel boccino la propria saliva, fino al livello necessario. all'interno del confanetto c'è la custodia per rispedire tutto. Basta scrivere due righe a tellmegen che risponde subito con il codice di spedizione. con quello si va in posta (o in un centro convenzionato con tellmegen, è molto capillare, praticamente molti dei bar tabacchi possono farlo). Non si paga nulla, non è vero che si debba spendere un euro per la spedizione, lo assicuro. Spedito si scrive nuovamente a tellmegen che il pacco è stato spedito. io ho fatto l'ordine il 9 novembre. considerando il tempo perchè mi fosse consegnato, e poi una settimanella abbondante prima che facessi il test e lo portassi in tabaccheria (e il tempo necessario affinchè il pacchettino arrivasse a tellmegen), sono stati velocissimi. forse troppo.... questo è il dubbio. peccato perchè alla base queste aziende hanno la possibilità di speculare su un bisogno dell'utente di andare a fondo sulla propria salute. io la mia la conosco già e bene, ma avevo la minima aspettativa di capire a livello di nutrizione e di farmacologia (oltrechè sull'aspetto origine geografica ma per questo tema ci sono test più focalizzati) qualcosa in più del mio organismo.

It’s going to take some time to ingest, but already I can see that there is some useful stuff there -like info suggesting I would experience a chemoprotective effect from aspirin as a strategy for reducing the risk of certain cancers so that makes taking daily aspirin worthwhile. Really pleased overall.

I was looking for some answers for some medical issues and the results I got helped clarify things which gave me some answers that helped me greatly. The genealogy part of this test was just an extra for me, which I found interesting and confirmed some family rumors I heard as a child, but it was not the main reason I decided to that this test.
