This tamper is easy to use but changing the springs took a bit of search online as the instructions that came with it didn’t really give clear information. The tamp is consistent and level which was why I bought the tamper but the ripple base does trap coffee grounds as per the other reviews. Am a bit disappointed due to the price of the product but nothing a small brush can’t take care of.

As with all other products I purchased from Normcore, this thing is a beauty. Fit with Breville original 54mm baskets is perfect and it really takes out all the guesswork from tamping. Fit, finish & materials are top notch, definitely worth the price tag. Very easy to clean and maintain, replacing the factory installed 25lbs spring with the included 30lbs spring was very easy even though the tamper doesn’t come with instructions.

The main reason for buying this was to help with tamping evenly every time and with a consistent pressure. I’ve been trying to perfectly dose my espresso and this has helped remove tamping as an issue. It has several springs to chose from for your desired level of resistance which is great. Happy with this purchase.

High quality tamper, works great and has made a huge difference in the quality of my shots. You need to have some muscle to use it, so keep that in mind when choosing one that’s right for you.

Great quality Normcore Tamper. Standard high quality but also high price for normcore coffee accessories. Compared to others on amazon I do feel you get what you pay for. Consistent tamping has made my coffee extraction times far more precise
