Really improved my bevel consistency.
Very well made and easy to use. I wish I could free-hand sharpen my chisels and plane irons but I can’t achieve the consistency that I get with this tool set.The numbers on the gauge are a little hard to read sometimes but that could be my tired eyes. I used a Sharpie to get a bit more color contrast and that’s helped. Would definitely recommend.

could not use with 1/4 chisel
I had high hopes for this nifty tool. I started w/the wider chisels that I inherited from my dad. Those came out nice. When I did the 1/4 chisel, i THOUGHT it was well seated but it was not and the grind came out at an angle. I looked at the setup and this device simply would not hold my 1/4 chisel square - it kept shifting it, which caused the angled cutting surface. I noticed the part where the chisel lays was not perfectly flat - one side was higher than the other. Unfortunately, i wanted to finish what I was doing and used a file to try to level it but it's just not quite flat. It's on a shelf now collecting dust. I'm not impressed. I ended up spending some money for a Veritas combo set that was much better and it got the 1/4 chisel tip perfect.

Works for wider chisels, but not for narrower ones
It's easy enough to use, but the method of securing the chisel to the honing guide has one serious flaw, making the tool almost useless. When you tighten the nuts to keep the chisel in place, the metal of the chisel is in contact with the metal of the honing tool. There is absolutely no way these metal surfaces have enough friction between them to hold the chisel in place, because the honing tool surface is smooth, and so is the chisel. The result is that the chisel falls out very easily, making this tool inaccurate at best and mostly totally useless and a waste of money.A suggestion to the manufacturers: if you crosshatch the metal surface which contacts the chisel on the honing tool, then you'll get a much better grip. Or else glue a very thin piece of silcone rubber on each side of where the chisel clamps and it should allow the chisel to hold. You need to figure out how to fix this issue. If this is not fixed, I would not waste my money on this tool, as it's mostly unusable except for wide chisels or blades from planes.
