Random rebooting, defective?
This would randomly reboot every hour or so. I tried a different power supply and switched out the SD card. I reviewed the logs and nothing was obvious in there. I figured it must be hardware related so I ordered another one and returned this one. Well the other one has the same problem. The last reboot occurred as I was typing on it. I'm sending the other one back too. I guess I'll wait until next year when the current model is back in stock. My project is just for fun and is not time sensitive.

No good way to attache the case to the board
I initially thought that there was a clip on one side of the board that would hold it in place. This is not true. Following that, I thought I would use some longer screws to attach the board, however the holes are not drilled as the picture shows. Its easy to fix with a drill, but not a complete product out of the box

I wanted a base for two Raspberry Pi 3B+ units. This base is nicely made and stays nicely in place once fitted.The only thing to be carefull of is not to rely on the tolerances of the Raspberry PI PCB as the PCBs are a bit rough when manufactured. Not unduely rough for PCB edges, but not tightly defined enough to be a tolerance that can be relied upon for mounting purposes. Take a needle file to smooth off the edges of the Raspberry PI PCB before fitting the base and there are then no problems.One thing that is really nice about the base is that unlike some bases, there is a cutaway at one end that allows the µSD card to be gripped top and bottom so it can be removed without putting pressure against the lip on the card.When I bought a 3rd Raspberry Pi for a new project, I bought a 3rd such base.

Good product
Bought this so I could mount the Pi on the inside of a PC case. Also great for prototyping on the desk - saves any of the pins shorting out with anything that might be lying around.Not much else to say, it's a great little piece of plastic.

Does what it says on the tin. Sturdy base which Pi3 clips in to, still leaving access from above. Excellent value.
