Pros: - Auto connects to your phone - Buetooth connection was seemless - Front and camera works great - leave it plugged into my car and it doesn't drain my car battery - Navigation is accurate and smooth - Option for multiple tab displays on the main screen (Navigation, apps, music) - Screen clarity is very good in daytime and night time - At the time I paid 119$. It is now 99$ so It is worth the price. - Installation was very easy. I just hide the cables under the rubber flaps for cameras. - Touch screen is fine. Like any other carplays Cons: - There's no auto brightness adjustments for night time. - There is a some delay when swiping or opening apps. Normal for most carplays. - When starting the car up it takes a minute for it to connect to your phone automatically to play audio in the car. - Noticeable Bluetooth delay. Normal for most carplays but does not matter because your not supposed to watch videos whole driving anyways. About a 2-4 second delay for audio to match up with someone talking. Overall A very good purchase for the price. Majority of the negatives is what you usually find in other carplays. Personally, I would like it to have auto brightness adjustment for night time because it is very bright.

First and foremost - it works. Before tearing my dashboard and center console apart or cutting any wiring, I set it up on the passenger seat, plugged it in, and tried it out. If it sounded crappy or was difficult to use, I had nothing to lose except the time it would take to pack it back up and return it, but it worked flawlessly and sounds great. There is a short period of trying this and that, but it set up easily and it sounds excellent. Bluetooth to my iPhone was easy and stable. I own an older BMW…too early for backup cameras and high tech app usage. It’s sort of a unique vehicle so I will be keeping it for the foreseeable future. However, I wanted some better level of infotainment system. My car came with a Harman Kardon sound system and I connected this player via the AUX port so the sound transfer was perfect (better than using a random FM channel or Bluetooth). The sound is excellent and it is easy to use. So once I knew it worked, I started planning how to mount it. The suction cup/arm combination is sturdy and will stick to almost anything, but each vehicle is different and you’ll really need to play with it to decide where it fits best in your car. In my car, dashboard mounting wasn’t practical. I sit low, so if I mounted it on my dashboard, it would block my view somewhat. After trying a lot of dry-fit locations, I found a spot at the very front of my center console, forward of the shift lever that worked very well for me. While parked, I can’t easily access the touch screen, but once you put the car in D, the screen access is perfectly fine. If you have a standard shift, this might not work. For me…it was perfect. With this mount, I admittedly can’t use the embedded front facing camera, but I’ll accept that sacrifice. I found a flat panel space on the bottom section of the dash where it meets the center console, and the sticky pads that come with this unit worked perfectly. To stop the bottom from sliding around or wobbling, I used a short strip of 3M VHB double sided tape on the bottom of the unit and it’s as solid as a rock. The rear view camera was also a challenge. Again….all cars are different, but it took me 3 hours to properly fish the wire through the trunk floor, into the back seat, under the rear center console, under the front console, and to the place where the unit sits. I also had to do some finagling to get access to the backup light wiring so I could tap into it for power to the camera. If you’re not comfortable doing this type of work, try to hire someone who is experienced with car stereos and go that route. On that note…I did not use the provided rear view camera. I bought one that was specific to my model car, which is integrated into the trunk handle. It looks factory and works perfectly (found it here on Amazon). This installation of a nice CarPlay unit was a purchase that totaled about $160 all in ($119 for this unit, $35 for the backup camera). A shop in my area wanted nearly $1000 to install a similar product. I’m about $840 on the up side, so it was a win. It required about 6 hours all in to install, but I saved myself some money and have an infotainment system that brings my car into the present.

The CarPlay monitor is easy to mount install. The type C cable that connects to the monitor is very long and well insulated, and it goes to the cigarette charger. I have an iPhone and connecting the Apple CarPlay to my iPhone was just a piece of cake. The size of the screen is good and the clarity and the brightness is right on spot. It is easy to play music from my phone using Spotify. I used the speaker of the CarPlay device while playing the music and I must say that the quality of the people is not bad. That apart, there are three other audio output options like the phone, FM, etc. The navigation works perfectly fine and so does the calling system. The only challenging part of the installation is the real view camera, which can be mounted onto the license plate or drilled into the back of the car. It will be tedious, time consuming compared to the other installations. The red wire from the reverse camera needs to be connected to the backing lightbulb’s power. The dash cam works the way it is supposed to. I have been using this for a few days now and the software seems to work well. I have a 2010 Honda Civic and it was not very difficult to install the Apple CarPlay device. The quality of the materials used in the hardware is good and serve the purpose. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase as along with my Apple CarPlay. I do have a dash cam and the reverse camera. Reverse camera is particularly important for me as I live in the city where I often need to parallel park. The dash can help in recording evidence during unfortunate times but luckily I still haven’t faced any such situation after the installation. It’s definitely worth the money.

I’ve been using the Madoec S9 Pro for a few weeks now and it’s been an absolute delight! Installation was easy, setup was seamless and the device is quite user friendly. It comes up almost immediately the car is started. Screen quality is great with impressive sound and display qualities. Great voice command functionality as well. Bluetooth connectivity is also excellent. The bonus of a dash-cam is amazing, though I have opted not to use the reverse camera as my 2015 car comes with one.
