You just need one.
Honestly, I have too many of these tools. Once you have used one, there will be one in every car/truck, toolbox, go bag, etc. I have a couple DIY models, the Clamptite, hayward clamper?, and this one. They all work good. This one is stupidly simple. It slides apart for storage and you can't beat the price. Incredibly well made and looks great. I think in the decades of time I have used one of these type of tools, I can count using it for hoses on one hand. However the thousands of times I have used it to fix a handle on a rake, hammer, axe, post, secure something, etc. has made this a godsend. Clamptite tools are nice, however they are complicated and the lower price ones are thin aluminum. This is a solid chunk of metal, and very solid. Buy once, cry once, but at a great price. So go on YouTube and watch any video on these and make a few wire wraps. Then get some wire and know that you have a way to secure almost anything.

Beautiful fit finish and functionality, use thinner .03" wire
Solid & functional, nice matte/satin finish Easy to use and well worth the money you'll save on stripping out hose clamp screws. My only wish is that the long arm that actually grabs the wire was 2-3" shorter. It wastes about 1' 12" of wire because of how long that arm is, I can't imagine you'd ever need so much leverage. Wire isn't cheap. It'd be just as functional, cheaper to produce, and use less consumable with just this tiny modification. I assume I can reform it myself but would be better to be shorter from the start, especially for use in tighter places. I assume it's some quality stainless steel, as I've used it for months now in a wet environment with no rusting/corrosion. All edges are chamferd and provide a smooth well made finish that's gentle on the hands. Very well made, just wish it was a little shorter. I've used it with .03" stainless steel safety wire as well as .051" stainless steel safety wire. Use the thinner stuff, there's almost no benefit from the thicker, the thicker is obnoxious to properly loop around the tubing.

Good tool
Hey !!! This works pretty slick 😎 Not as complicated as the more expensive one listed. But works fine for my jobs. Repaired garden hoses better than $2 clamps - doesn’t catch on things as you’re pulling the hose around. Works on pressure and vacuum applications too. Get one - you won’t regret it. Mike

Not easy to use.
The problem for me was trying to align the tighting rod that you feed the wire through, it keeps wanting to slide sideways and covers holes that wire feeds through. Once you get everything in place it works great. It is heavy made and sells for a good price. I have used it to install two gardenhose fittings and it has made a secure fitting. Update; added two O rings to rod to hold in place (see photo) seems to help

A really simple tool for making wire clamps
I like this for it's simplicity and robustness. Accepts a wide range of wire size. Makes custom clamps for whatever size you want. Last project: Make something else out of old washing machine with rusted out tub. Frame went to make a tool cabinet. Basket became a planter, but I wanted wood fascia over the basket so it would look like a half- barrel. So, I cut up a bunch of scrap lumber and placed them around the basket, temporarily held in place with twine. Then held firmly in place with heavy aluminum wire ( using this tool to make the big ring clamps ) I got out of the old motor. I got two planters out of this, tub and basket. Although both leak like a sieve, they hold dirt and look like wooden barrel halves. And they have to leak now. For drainage. They are now sitting in my front yard...with some sort of pretty yellow flowers in them. They oughta hold for at least 20 years, as the underlying steel is containing the dirt. The wood is only to hide what they really are...old washing machine parts. Just use your imagination. You can make all sorts of craft thingies with this thing, scrap wire, and scrap lumber....or even tree prunings.

Not as easy to use as ClampTite tool
Works okay but can’t easily tighten the wire as tight as you can with a ClampTite tool. The wire pulls out of the holes before it’s tight enough, unless you wrap the wire around the axle and then bend it back around itself on each side. The ClampTite tool is much easier to use. This tool works just as well if the wire bent back around itself, but is harder to use. The holes the body the axle goes through should be smaller so there is less slop.

Handy.
This should make wrapping wire easy. Kinda pricey at about $50 CAD.
