Whilst these are good pieces to play and there is a good rhythmic content, the pitch of so many pieces makes me feel this book is easier than the previous one for G3. I think they should have put many of the pieces, or parts of them, up an octave so that whilst enjoying playing this music, the flautist can also be practicing some of those higher notes.I like this sort of book to increase my pupils breadth whilst giving them music they want to play. If it isn't taking them up where they need to be consolidating the learning and reading of higher notes, it isn't doing what I'm looking for.
