Eight Classic Albums

I've been buying a number of these boxed sets, to grow my collections in an economical manner. If money were no object, I'd prefer individual albums. But these sets are great for building collections on a budget. The upside is lots of great music got not too much money. The downside is less info and less object/artwork to enjoy.So much for the generalities of a set like this. More specifically, here we have the following eight Art Blakey albums: ... There are other similar sets out there, so one might (and I have) encounter overlaps - two or more sets that contain a few of the same albums - but at the very prices of these sets, to get a fuller collection, that's something I don't mind too much.

all the important art blakey jazz messengers in one volume pure magic. no need to hustle, everything is ts there. just leanback and enjoy. all the classic wayne shorter/freddie hubbard/ benny golson/curtis fuller compositions among others. yes inded very good music for little money

This is not a review more just information on what is on this set.This 4 CD set contains 8 classic albums. The albums are'Holiday for Skins Vol 1', 'Roots and Herbs','Holiday for Skins Vol 2','Moanin','A Night in Tunisia','Mosaic','Art Blakey Jazz Messangers', and'The Witch Doctor'.Amazon have not published one so I though this may help.This 'review' has evolved with kind and thoughtful people adding important infomation so a positive vote that this review is helpful is a vote not just for me but for those kind people too.
