Perfect to fit any hose with the zip mechanism, keeps hot air outside and allows AC to do its job!
I buy a new one of these each year, as they can get kind of gross after being exposed to outside for many months. The one I previously ordered changed their design to have a “universal” hose attachment, which of course did not fit the hose of my AC unit. I came back to Amazon to find one that has the zipper style opening and found this product. I don’t ever use the Velcro tape that comes with these, because I find the adhesive usually doesn’t hold up and seems to dissolve from heat-I buy the strong outdoors Velcro tape and it works perfectly with this! Setting it up was a pretty straightforward and easy process, and now that it’s been up a couple of months, I can rest assured that it is doing its job. It has been holding up wonderfully so far-the zipper stays taught around the hose exiting to the outside, and it is doing great at keeping the hot air outside instead of inside. I highly recommend measuring to ensure you get the right size, I measured and the fit was perfect. For these weird French windows, I absolutely recommend this product to set up your portable AC! They’re also quite easy to take down when summer is over, thought with the Velcro I have been using, I definitely have a lot of adhesive left behind that I will eventually need to address, but it’s totally worth it to be able to keep my apartment cool during the summer!

The only thing that worked for my casement window, even with two hoses!
I've been trying to install my portable AC into a casement window for a week now. I have an outward-opening casement which opens vertically from the bottom. Before this, I tried a bunch of stuff to seal the window kit provided with my AC. Even after getting a sheet of plexiglass cut for the window, my AC still was leaking too much heat back into the room, and the plastic from the window installation kit even warped itself. This was my last hope... and luckily it worked like a charm! I'm pretty sure I even accidentally ordered one slightly too large for my window, but it still fits and works fine after rolling up some excess material. Installation was super easy albeit a little tedious -- the instructions were kind of bad and the video instructions online were very poorly shot (there's an animated video and a real-life demo, both of which not super helpful), but it was pretty much just a matter of cutting two sets of 4 velcro strips - one set for the casement, and one set for the window frame. Then you velcro the "seal", but annoyingly you have to pick a specific side to velcro to the casement vs the window frame, and the only way to tell which side is to follow the edge all the way until it tapers off at the end. It would be really nice if they would color the velcro on one side in order to tell that it's the "wide" side vs the narrow side. I mentioned that I got one which is slightly too big for my window - I rolled up the extra material in the area where I wasn't able to finish getting a velcro seal, and taped it up with some painter's tape. They say to use elastic for this purpose, but didn't provide any. It's not perfectly sealed in that area, and I expect I might need to do a better job of rolling it up if there's another big heat wave in the area. Installing with two hoses is just as easy as installing with one -- it's just an extra zipper in the seal. I pointed them both downwards. After turning on the AC, there is very little heat being leaked back into the room, which is perfect! Like I mentioned, this is so far the only solution that has worked for my casement window. The material is high enough quality that I don't expect it to degrade significantly in the near future, the zippers move pretty easily around the seal, and overall I'm pretty happy with it.

Great idea with a slightly flawed implementation. Still it gets the job done!
This is a great idea with an interesting implementation, and with a few minor alterations to the design it would be perfect. As it is, it does a great job. First, the Velcro sides should be flipped. They send a roll of prickly side for the sticker for your window and have the soft side sewn in. While trying to run your finger over the Velcro you stick on your window frame, it is going to hurt, but if they made the soft side the side that was stuck on the window, there wouldn’t be that problem. Second, the ordering instructions say to order the closest rounded number to your window perimeter, but that will leave a small crack if your window is slightly larger than the size, so if your window perimeter is over 400cm, get the 500cm. As it sits, the edge that follows along the physical window has spots that bunch up. Which leads me to my last complaint, 100cm is WAY too big for that to be the size difference options. I needed a 425 or 450, as my window perimeter was 416cm, but getting the 500cm would have been crazy. But now I have a small section of my casement that leaks the hot air back in. I will have to make a small two sided strip to fit the difference. Over all though, this is a great solution to this problem. My summer will be nice and cool because of this product!

Read the instructions carefully and take your time.
It was very straight forward to install. We are in an old building so the windows are single paned. I couldn’t find a seal kit that was the exact size so I sized up and tucked in the ends. Works really well and is much better than a blanket tucked into the window. Just read the instructions carefully to get it right.

Does not last
EDIT: While my review still stands, the customer service team did reach out and offer me a full refund for the trouble I have had with the product. I think that is acceptable and have decided to change my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star, taking into consideration the resolution. While I still will need to find a new solution for my AC, I at least am not out any money from this. Thank you HOMEE for actually caring about your customers! I wish the product had worked better for me and my window. I ordered this product a few months ago for my outward opening crank window. It seemed excellent at first and I was very happy being able to cool off my room, I have to leave the door shut many days which leads to very high temperatures and humidity. After maybe a month, the adhesive on the velcro tape essentially melted from the heat coming out of the exhaust hose. I was able to stick it back down, but this is a temporary fix and lasts only a couple days at best. The heat coming from the exhaust hose consistently melts the adhesive enough to pop open a large corner of the seal, rendering the product useless until I realize my room isn't cooling off and am able to fix it. This is a huge issue. It not only is inconvenient to have to check the seal multiple times a day to make sure there isn't a large opening into my home, but it is also making my AC have to run much harder to try and cool the room (which is essentially pointless while the seal is broken since all the heat is blowing back in). I can't trust leaving my AC run when I am not home either, since bugs or critters could come in through the hole, or my cat could get out. I have tried removing and reapplying the seal multiple times, each time I get the same result. I have tried changing the orientation of the seal, but nothing helps. The small amount of tension on the outer part of the seal, combined with the heat from the exhaust without fail causes the corner to pop off and make a large opening (8 inches or more) every single time. I cleaned the area well before applying, and I have since even removed the first set of velcro tape in the problem area, cleaned it a second time, and reapplied some extra velcro tape to that area, and it still has not solved the problem so I know it has nothing to do with dirt making it not stick or anything like that. Essentially, if you have an older outward crank window, be aware this is not going to be a permanent "set it and forget it" type of fix to your issue. Maybe this issue wouldn't happen with a bay style window, or an inward crank, I have no idea. All I can speak on is my experience of the adhesive not lasting up to the tension and heat. Definitely not worth the purchase. I should have just drilled a ventilation hole in the side of my home instead of this complicated and inferior seal.

Poor fit
Quite frankly, I could not figure this product out. I was attempting to use it to help vent a portable AC unit out a casement window. The quality of the material used was good enough, but it just did not want to fit the window. Granted a purchased a larger size than I needed due to the window measurements being unknown at the time I ordered it. It came with 4 pictures for instructions which made little sense to me. The shape of the fabric did not allow for a good fit at the top and bottom of the window (it was far too narrow) so I ended up doubling the fabric over at a slight angle to fill in the gaps. I think a better product would have been a square/rectangular piece of the same fabric with the same zipper that could be Velcro-ed to the window (since you'd need to stick Velcro on either way). I have not checked back to see if the stickiness of the Velcro was sufficient, but I have not heard any complaints either. Probably just make my own next time.

Easy, Inexpensive solution to a cooling problem.
I ordered this for the bedroom above the garage that is always hot during the summer. I had a portable unit from my daughter's college days but thought it would be impossible to use because I have casement windows. I had been looking at other ventless AC units on Amazon when I came upon this window seal solution. It works great! I got it in the mail on Saturday and installed it on Sunday. Easy install. 10 to 15 minutes max. Got an email message from the supplier HOOMEE asking if I needed help installing it, but I had already done it before I got the message and the link to an instruction video. The printed directions that came with the seal were very self explanatory, but it did help to see the photos other reviews had posted to see it on the window. My only issue was of my own making. I did not contact HOOMEE before I ordered a size to see how exactly to determine the size you needed. I just based it on a review I saw and looked at their window size. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. A inexpensive and quick fix to use a portable AC unit with casement windows. Would recommend it without hesitation. My window still closes properly with the window seal installed and it hold my exhaust tube properly when in use or not in use. It comes with ties to attach the hose to the zippers of the seal to make sure it all stays together and secure. Best $ I think I have ever spent to make my home more comfortable for guests using that bedroom.

Works in outward opening egress windows
I have crank windows that open outward. This worked just fine on mine. All that I had to do was reverse the instructions. Worked great keeping the heat out and the cool in during the summer very easy to install, only about 15mins or so. The velcro is small enough as to not stick out when the adapter isn't in use. It didn't rip when I moved it along the window when I installed it. Seemed pretty thick, probably well enough made to be used for multiple years to come. The zipper being double ended gave enough for the vent and the drain tubing to go out the window. Great for use in a home that only needs a portable AC occasionally.

Great Product & Fantastic Customer Service
Excellent product. Takes a bit of time to install around the window frame, but once that's done it is perfect (I was a little concerned if it would have fit my window, as my perimeter was much smaller than the size I ordered, but no need to worry as the seal just overlaps & can fit any size perimeter). In addition to cooling our office, we also have a rather unpleasant odour from a nearby business which stopped us opening our windows in the past as the smell was rather unpleasant. I was delighted to discover that once we installed the Hoomee Window Seal, not only did it help the efficiency of our air conditioner & make our room much cooler, we also found the the seal has stopped the outside smell coming into our room !!! 5 stars is not enough for this seller, I would have given 10 stars! Extremely impressed with their after sales service, I received emails asking if everything was ok & if they could help me with any questions with installation. The product was easy to fit, so we didn't need help, but I was very impressed that they took the time to contact me. DEFINATELY THE BEST SELLER ON AMAZON ! Don't hesitate to buy this product from this seller.

Practical and budget friendly solution.
Good product for price. Keeps the windows sealed. The instructions are quite difficult to understand, however I was able to find a video on YouTube and installation was straightforward and rapid. It does the job. Happy with my purchase.

Good fix for a rental place
The installation took a bit of time, but with watching the YouYube video and one of the clips left in the reviews, I managed to get it right almost straightaway. The only tip I'd pass on would be to make sure you don't attach the corners to the velcro too tightly, cause it will make it harder to open and close the window. I only attached it to three sides of the window, as the fourth side is airtight so I didn't want any faff with extra material. My window opens both ways (kiep-kantel for Dutchies) and the seal works pretty well. I can only use it one way now, but that's fine. If I want to close the window I have to make sure the zipper doesn't get stuck at the top, but I can still close it which is all I need really. I tested it with my aircon and it's great, barely any outside air gets in.
