Syntech 2-in-1 Camera Mic

Got this for my youtube and am SO upset that it doesn’t even work. the audio is nothing but screeching and crackle noises no matter what i do.

I use it for my camera, and the sound is decent, most of the time is for syncing my videos. no sound saturation and great size of it.

Tried taking the microphone out of the case, but the plastic broke off.Thank you company for your services. I hope you continue to improve products and their durability.

Audio didn’t work on this. Must was defective

Most budget microphones for vlogging applications fall short of being usable. Not so with the Syntech microphone. While I would never make a comparison between this mic and higher end professional options, it does provide a very acceptable quality of audio input with decent noise cancelation properties.It comes with two different 3.5mm cables to accommodate various types of jack configurations, I'm currently using the mic with a cannon EOS Rebel T6i with far better results than when using the built-in mic, which fully meets my own expectations.The mic comes in a nice form-fitting case and also includes a clip that allows it to be easily clipped onto a smart phone. I did sample the audio quality of this mic with the built in mic on my iPhone 14 and found my iPhone mic to be better quality for indoor use, while the Syntech mic worked well for outdoor recording, and particularly in windy conditions when using the 'Dead Cat' option that came with the mic.The mount for the mic is well designed and includes isolation bands to help with noise suppression. Four extra isolation bands were also included, which is a bonus. A foam sleeve is also included with the mic when there is not a need for the 'Dead Cat' feature.It's important to consider needs relative to price when looking at external mic options. I believe most people who do casual blogging and just general video recording would find the Syntech to be a great option, and particularly so given the price point. Beginner vloggers would also be well served by this mic, which can keep costs low when initially building out your vlogging equipment.All in all a very good value given the performance.

I was had the understanding that it was powered. It's not.

This microphone isn't what I was hoping for. Sound isn't the best and for some reason it some more flat than my actual video microphone. Maybe it's my device but there is hum on the audio, could be some sort of interference from the device but it's being picked up. I have tried different cables but seems it's still there. Maybe it could work for others out there.

I like that it’s well built and how it’s designed and I plugs right into my GoPro however, the sound quality was not as good as I was hoping for. It worked perfectly in a studio setting. Outdoors not so much. It did pick up a lot of background noise. The studio setting works great.
