The Book Of Forbidden Knowledge: Black Magic, Superstitions, Charms, Divination, Signs, Omens, Etc. [Smith &co, Johnson, Maven, Tarot] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Book Of Forbidden Knowledge: Black Magic, Superstitions, Charms, Divination, Signs, Omens, Etc. Review: Informative historical jokes - It is all about folklore. Nothing dark about it. I wouldn't do most of the things written in the book because it was distributed as a gag/humor book. So, don't try rubbing nettle or brandy in you eye for better eye sight and etc. It just wouldn't be wise! I enjoy researching history but this book was printed as a haha funny thing not magic dark illuminati thing. It isn't a witch book or a satanic evil book. Sorry to disappoint those looking for real magic. I enjoyed laughing at some of the superstition pieces and the other funny articles. It took me 30 minutes to read and it will go into my library as humor/jokes. Review: I was curious about this 1910 book - Full of so many obvious superstitions and little spells to invoke which gives an insight into the basic desire to try and control one's 'fate'. There are many generalizations regarding good luck or bad luck dates for each month or day of birth. I'm giving this to someone for off-the-wall amusement. It's like a bit of history. Love the look of this little black book that originated over 110 years ago. It's a curiosity item.

Amazing information not easily found elsewhere
Amazing information not easily found elsewhere. Read it for enjoyment or education, as you wish and as you believe...most of the power of "magic" (by whatever moniker it goes by) is the faith and belief of the persons involved. I believe this book is endlessly entertaining, for many reasons. Buy it for yourself, or for a gift, as a curiosity or as a serious tool, you will gain value from owning it.

Awful printing
Whoever printed this did a horrible job! Look at the picture. The margins are too narrow to compensate for the binding. Go back to printing 101 and learn this. And why didn’t the binding person catch this? It’s customary for them to look at a sample before continuing on with finishing the entire order. I will need to bend the pages back and possibly break the bind to read all the words,

Dark Powers
These were the dark texts of ancient times. If you love the old horror films of Universal, Vincent Price, Hammer, and others and have wondered about the ancient texts the villains use, well it is ones like these. These are the real life old magical grimoires of the past. Shady priests, witches, alchemists, and the lot used these books to summon ancient forces. Their power may work today if you believe and take it serious. It is interesting to note the influence of Judaism and Christianity in these works magnificently translated anew by Tal Warwick. This public domain book is from the 1910s and reads like an almanac giving bits of arcane wisdom on various topics. Lots of superstitions some of which you may recognize or hears about from an older reader. It complies lore from earlier times.

Um pequeno tesouro do início do século XX, um apanhado de pequenos segredos, crendices, simpatias, magias e muitas outras coisas. Guardadas as devidas proporções, é um "Pequeno Alberto" dos nossos tempos. Gostei muito.
