Claude Monet (Revised Edition) (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists) : Venezia, Mike, Venezia, Mike: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: all good - buy again Review: I bought this book for my 7 years old son, who loves painting and takes art classes. He listened and looked at the pictures with great interest, asked a lot of questions. The language is very child appropriate and he laughed at the little jokes.

These are great biographies - filled with silly cartoons, real artwork images and an easily approachable biography that kids can relate easily with. I have found other curriculums that use these books as the "reading" source and I'm really pleased with these books. I love that my kids are learning about the works greatest artist.

Great supplement for anyone teaching or introducing art history/ appreciation to young readers/learners. Text is easy to read yet informative and interesting. Language is simple and easy to follow. Illustrations are large, fun and engaging. Great little book for fact fanatics and super curious kids. Definitely suitable for boys and girls and makes for a great addition to learning programs for multi ages 4-12 years. Slim and easy to carry. Good value for money and excellent addition to any live learning library.

My daughter is helping her first grade son read one of this series each week. Then they do an art project inspired by the artist. This included lying on the floor painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and using Q tips to paint like Monet. Great projects for quarantine.
