What a piece of kit. Fantastic in the African Bush...
Been working in the African Bush and was looking for something better than myFi. What a great purchase. Tried it in the UK with an Argos EE 120GB 365 day card. Brilliant. Went to hotels with it and connected seemlessly. Then back to the Bush. What a difference to my life with an MTN 4G card. The Puli seems to front load web streams because even when you unplug it the video on my Google streamer lasts for 60-90 secs depending on how long I have been watching. Great pictures and sound. My Apple headphones bluetooth to the streamer and cut out the generator noise with no loss of continuous sound playback through the Puli 4G. Thoroughly recommended.

Works well, wifi speed is better too
Took me a few hours to work out things with updating firmware & vpn setting up.But was so happy after rebooting modem & successfull DNS leak test result.Works as expected & fantastic with the data simcard slot,my travels will be much happier.I would of gave 5 stars butJust a shame no carry case included given the cost of device & delivery charge.Great product though.

A fully featured portable router with 4G/LTE built in.
This is basically a Mango (GL-MT300N-V2) with built in 4G/LTE modem capability. It does all the same things a Mango does (WiFi repeater, tethering to a smart phone or other internet device such as a MiFi) and gives you all the extra features like a built in VPN and the possibility of adding other apps from the OpenWrt library. Also it has an internal battery that can last for hours without external power. It works really well - hotel wifi? Connect and even authenticate via the hotels login page and then relay the wi-fi signal to all of your devices in the room using a VPN if needed. Load a nano sim from your favorite mobile provider and get the same result. I've used this device with most UK major sim providers and also loaded a TurkCell sim I bought from a market stall in Istanbul and set to auto, the device detects the APN settings correctly and just gets you online. 4G performance on this device seems better than using a Vodafone UK MiFI in exactly the same location - not sure why but it's a nice discovery to make. All in all I can't recommend this device enough, it's the best mobile internet device I've used and I've gone through quite a few! Definately worth the money. It gets a little warm when used all day so maybe don't put it in a small bag or case where it can't get any air but in the back of my rucksack it works perfectly!

The Best travel Router You'll Ever Need
First off, it's extremely easy to get going.Secondly, this thing is it is extremely customisable. My setup - GiffGaff SIM,512GB Micro SD Card.Once I got the "MIFI" part working with the GiffGaff SIM, I then set about sharing the SD Card contents. This needed a little work as SMB1 is no longer any good, however, a quick search and GL-iNet have a couple of quick commands to run and voila - SMB2 is now sharing the files from the SD Card on the network. Then I thought...hmmm....a Wireguard VPN back to my home would be very useful. Literally within 2 minutes, VPN client was configured and connected. This device is extremely capable as the throughput enabled me to stream successfully through the VPN from my NAS at home, absolutely amazing.Of course this was all running from it's internal battery as well.In summary, this is a very well designed product, exactly what I was looking for, and I could not be happier.

Jury is out
Bought this as I travel a lot and need reliable internet for work. The pocket WiFi devices are not up to it. The promotion and reviews on this made me think it was ideal, especially as it has a micro SIM slot and I need to use it without wired/ Ethernet connection. So, just opened the box and first thing I see is a flyer mentioning that a Nano SIM is not supported by this router.Q1. Why then does it have the slot?Q2. Am I correct here?Q3. Any recommendations for a flexible router, WiFi and SIM only that will work internationally without a contract?

Can't choose roaming provider
Really liked this until roaming and found you can't select the roaming provider manually, mine is defaulting to the worst in my area.

Travel router with 4G and VPN
PlusUpgraded to Beta firmware 4.3.7 that allows more features.- use Wireguard client or server.- use OpenVPN client or server.- most of the sim cards are automatically detected.- 4G/LTE speeds around max 30Mbps.- battery can last around 7-8 hours.- comes with power adaptor but you can power it on using a power bank also.- stable enough on 2.4 Wifi.- can support a 10-15 Mbps VPN tunnel.- does not overheat too much.- have WAN and LAN ports.- small and compact.Minus- Not suitable for long time use with adapter- Starts very slow- Low 4g/LTE speeds- cannot autoconfigure all the sim cards and that could be a challenge.- using SMB to share microsd files is very slow due to CPU limitations I guess.- signal wise not that great.Useful but not great.

The best portable 4G-Wifi Router
Secure, portable, loads of enterprise grade features but consumer friendly at the same time, OpenWrt/GLiNet firmware to thank for that. The product has an okay battery but with the features that are available make up for this. Use it for work and for travelling, easily connect up via Lan ports or use as a failover.
