The manufacturer wrote to me to say that they will send me an updated model, at no cost, that will be stable in portrait mode. This is in addition to the refund provided. And it really is an excellent case apart from that- stylish and quality materials.Previous review Sept 5th 2017This may not matter to most, but an origami case is really only useful for those who use in portrait mode. Otherwise most decent smart cases are the same. This case sucks in portrait mode- very unstable. Returning. Great case apart from that

The build feels great with a solid rubberized outer and soft material inner cover. The back is very thin, which looks and feels nice, though probably does not provide much drop protection. The foldable “origami” feature works well, if not perfectly like the Moshi brand being copied here. The only problem with the cover is the magnets used do nothing to keep a flipped open cover connected to the back of the iPad. There is zero hold there, unlike any other case I have used. This is often very inconvenient and really it makes me wonder why Goooa would leave this cheap and easy feature missing.

I have wanted an origami type case for ages. Now, I have one for my new iPad and am a happy person. My tablet is so much easier to hold in bed and to set upright when I need it for reading recipes while cooking.

Takes up little space on bed side table. Stands well in both horizontal/landscape and vertical/portrait views.

Had similar roocase origami case for my old iPad Air, but couldn’t find that brand. Goooa filled the void nicely. I use stand for portrait and landscape mode, plus can fold the cover in back and use as a handle when reading. Love it!

The case is perfectly slim and lightweight. The cover allows you to position it portrait of landscape. The cover is a soft felt on the screen side, and a anti-slip material on the other side. Definitely worth the money.
