Great Toy Gun EXCEPT. . .
We got this for our nine year old son. The build quality is very good. It looks nice and it's WAY cool that you get to load your own shells with the darts. It really teaches kids some of the fundimentals of how a real gun works. It loads into the chamber and ejects empty shells very well. It fires the darts a lot better and further than I expected. It's easy to lose darts once they've been fired so keep that in mind. It's proably a good idea to purchase a bunch of spares. My son absolutely loved it.You read that right. . . he loved it because it's now broken. He had some friends over for a birthday party and they were very rough on his toys. We don't know exaclty what one of the boys did to break this toy gun but right away we noticed that the barrel looked off. It doesn't load the shells into the chamber properly, it fires at maybe 1/2 power, and it fails to eject the empty shells about 90% of the time. We don't blame this on the design of the gun. In fact, we had it for a couple of months without any issue. Those boys damaged some of his other toys, so we blame it on rough kids rather than bad design.I say this so that people who purchase this toy gun take care of it. My son was very disappointed that he can't use this one anymore. We liked it so much that we will get a replacement, but it's a lesson for all of us to guard our kids' toys a little better. We were very happy with this dart gun; it's the best one our kids have ever owned!

Great Idea, but mine was defective
The idea of having a toy gun with eject-able shells is wonderful. It makes for a good fidget type toy.The shells are actually compatible with the gel blaster pellets too, which was a nice surprise. The gun actually packs quite a bunch too. I shot my hand at point blank range, and it hurt for sure. Unfortunately the accuracy isn't too great. The magazine says it holds 7 shots, although i was able to fit 8 in there with no issues. Now the bad part:The gun's ejecting mechanism didn't work out of the box. It took me a while to find the problem, which turned out to be a very tiny plastic crack/deformation right at the place that keeps the shell ejector spring from triggering right away.I honestly think it's a miracle I was able to find the issue, and after some super glue I got the gun working just fine.Overall, for this price, the gun is a 5 star, but due to the defect, I have to subtract a couple stars.

Nice toy 1911 pistol
This toy pistol is very nice and works well. I was looking for a toy 1911 that's closer to life size and this fit the bill nicely. It is a toy and light weight. The toy pellets also are great other than going to be very easy to lose because of how small they are. Haven't used it much so can't comment on the durability.

Does not work
The gun magazine of ammo isn’t aligned with the chamber, therefore the bullets don’t load. Do not buy this. It’s junk.

Very defective
The media could not be loaded. For me, the gun jammed within 10 minutes of playing. The package was beat up, the shell ejection doesnt work, and I have to manually put the bullets in for it to shoot.

Disappointed
The shells do not eject and that is the main draw of this toy. These are destined to not work properly because it's the second one of it's kind that I've gotten now that doesn't work. Yes the projectiles go far and yes it looks super realistic but kids are expecting the shells to eject when you pull the top back and they don't. They also get stuck. These also break very easily which is unfortunate. I'm definitely disappointed and can't in good conscious recommend it. The instructions also state that it's supposed to come with a suppressor (using this word so that my review doesn't get kicked back) and it does not come with one.

Inexpensive
Feels inexpensive. The foam bullets are quite small to handle. Took me a minute to figure out how to load it

Very realistic looking
From a distance, this toy looks very real. Too real in fact. For that reason, I have to send it back. I would never want my 13-year-old to be in a compromised position from playing with this and have a neighbor or stranger mistake it for something else.
