ScotchMounting, Fastening & Surface Protection RFD7091 Interlocking Fasteners Strips,4, Black,2 count

I've used regular Velcro for many years as a staple in my organization. I put it on pretty much every device I have and also all over my desks and shelves so I can arrange devices in three dimensions in pretty much any orientation I need to. This type of fastener is the next evolution of the "hook and loop" fastener and I've used it to replace all the Velcro. This is not really a hook and loop fastener, which can be difficult to tell online. Its a sturdy plastic and each piece is the same. There is more of a snapping together action rather than sticking together. It holds devices firmly in place while using a much smaller piece. I've placed a piece on the back of my phone case, on my portable battery pack, and all over my desk. Therefore, I can attach my phone to my battery pack, my phone to the desk, the battery to the desk. etc. Add in the 10 other devices that also have and you can see how many options there are. So like I said, it is plastic and rigid, so there are times when it can feel a little uncomfortable on the back of my phone if I'm holding it a certain way, but I can live with it. It also creates a very strong bond and hasn't shown any signs of coming off at all. The one time I did pull it off of one of my phone cases, it took a little effort, and it also left a gooey residue behind that I still haven't gotten completely off, so that is something to bear in mind. This should not be used, for instance, on walls to temporarily hang photo frames which you later intend to remove cleanly. There are other products that would be more appropriate for that.

For years I've been using regular hook and loop fasteners (Velcro), and have had pretty good results, however, lately I've tried using Velcro on some heavier items, and it's just not working for me, even though I've used quite a bit. So I recently tried these interlocking fastener strips on my heavier items, and it has done the trick. Now I don't have to worry about my things falling off the wall, or becoming looser over time (which happens with hook and loop).This stuff works great for dash cams, temporary outdoor lights, light bars (multi-plug strips), and other things like that.If you found this review helpful, please leave a helpful vote. The media could not be loaded.  I absolutely love these fasteners!! When I say that I use them everywhere I can, I’m not kidding. I have them hold up a messed up visor in my car and if cut nicely it can look cool. I also have a power strip hung up next to my bed that charges everything and more and it’s held up by these bad boys. Not only can they handle the weight easily but it sticks to my bumpy walls too!! It’s better than Velcro.

I am thoroughly satisfied with these fasteners. They out perform standard hook and loop fasteners. If you follow the instructions regarding mounting (make certain surface is clean and dry) and their use, you will find that they are very dependable. One small inconvenience is that they only come in black. Although a minor annoyance, it would be nice if Scotch would make them in other colors. I use these fasteners primarily to mount computer devices such as USB hubs, joining and stabilizing multi-monitor displays, mounting SSD drives, etc.

I purchased these to Velcro on my Apple TV to the back of my TV that I mounted. This Velcro is extremely strong. I read a review that said it’s almost too strong. It really is! I’m not going to complain because I don’t want my Apple TV to fall on the floor however I understand where she’s coming from. To be honest I could probably use this to hang up pictures and several other items it’s that strong! Serves my purpose and could be used for so many other uses. I am very happy with this item

I bought this to mount between the sun visors and the roof of my Miata convertible. These incredible little cars are known for having cheap hinges that break and the visors then don't stay up against the roof. I mounted side of this connector to the 'pocket' where the visor snaps up into, and other side of the connector to the top of the visor (where the little mirror is located). It works perfectly to hold the visor up but I can also 'unsnap' it to let it down into the sunshade position. Not a particularly elegant solution, but much easier than removing the visors and replacing the hinges.

As hook & loop style fasteners (also known as velcro), these work well and have good hold. As "black" fasteners, there is a key problem with this product: while the hook & loop side of each strip is black, the adhesive side is actually white. The problem with this if you buy this product intending to use for the application I had planned: sticking things to my car windshield without making them too visible from the outside. The white adhesive side is then visible from outside the car, which kind of defeats the purpose of getting this in a black color (which would be less visible). I am still in the process of looking for a similar product that is black on both sides.If the adhesive side color doesn't matter to you, then this product should be fine.

As full-time RVers, we have found dozens of uses for these heavy-duty fastener strips. They hold our digital clock to the tiles over the buffet; they keep our satellite receiver and DVD/Blu-ray play from bouncing around during travel; they fasten the bed warmer controls to the side panels of the night stands... you get the picture. One just has to make sure the surfaces a clean before applying. My one and only complaint is that they are SO darned expensive!
